Hello, everyone!
When I created the mod page, I never expected such a warm response from Skyrim fans.
I was afraid that family and roleplay mods weren’t appreciated anymore. But now I know - this idea will find its players.
Before I publish a full article about the mod itself, I wanted to introduce myself - so we could be a little closer.
I live in Kazakhstan and speak Russian.
I’m currently studying veterinary medicine in grad school, though I’ve always dreamed of becoming a narrative designer.
Sadly, that profession isn’t in demand where I live — so I chose another childhood dream: saving animals.
But I’ve always loved games.
I’m not a PvP fan - I love roleplaying and immersive worlds, especially ones with medieval fantasy.
Skyrim was a perfect home for me — a place where you could just be someone, not necessarily the Dragonborn.
I’ve been playing since 2012, always discovering something new.
I avoid mods to preserve the core atmosphere... though, let’s be honest - I always end up being a Khajiit thief anyway.
The idea for this mod came when I bought the house in Solitude. I loved it so much I even thought about recreating it in real life one day.
But in-game, the house was... empty.
There was no real reason to return. Skyrim’s homes are often just decorative.
That feeling only deepened when I tried the Hearthfire expansion and adopted two children.
The family existed - but felt plastic.
And yet, for some people, building a family is the most meaningful goal in life.
Then I found a quest where you can buy armor for a farmer’s son so he could follow his dream of becoming a mercenary.
That’s when I started thinking:“What if I could support my own kids like that?”
I searched for a mod like that… but never found one.
Maybe it exists. But I couldn’t find it.
I carried this idea for three years.
But with no programming skills, I didn’t know where to begin.
Then AI started evolving. TES VI was announced. Oblivion got its remaster.
And I realized:If I don’t create this mod now - it might be too late.
So here I am - with a living idea, a big dream, and the desire to give players what I think has always been missing.
Skyrim already has the tools to make a parenting system real.
So why not finish what the game started...
I may not be a coder - but I’ll give everything I have to help players feel like a real father… or mother… in this world.

I feel this way too. Ever since the Xbox 360 and Skyrim (Vanilla) before the DLCs and the ability to have a "family" always felt that there was no way to have a "real" emotional connection to these NPCs.
I thought that with a couple other mods, like having 6 children in a home, 6 children beds, even beast children, having 4 Khajiit kids, and an Argonian along with Whiterun Sophia. Maybe that would given more meaning. Alas. no. RDO! still lacking, as these kids... forever kids... might as well be an army of Babbette.
Your mod delivers what those ideas, thoughts and emotions could be.
First chance. Got it. will see how my family changes from here on out.
