Don't think I'll ever take the leap to ECE, I'm happy with what I've achieved in the vanilla creator + some tinkering with Bodyslide But looks good, never noticed the neck posture tbh, but my character's always have long hair that covers the neck so that's probably why.

At first I wasn't sure what to think. I opened the race menu and my characters face went all to hell. Took me a couple of days looking at screenshots while editing to get it close to how it was before. The real advantage is the vertex editor. I could see a "lite " version of ECE that was only that, appealing to some people. The slider changes were a little daunting at first, but after I got used to it I started to really like it. I never thought the vanilla race menu was bad by any means. Especially when compared to something like Mass Effects character gen (I've never liked the ME editor). ECE just gives you so much more control, down to very small details. I'm sure if you try it, you will end up liking it. You may spend a few days re-making your toon, but you won't mind.

....also... it doesn't make any changes to a vanilla face until you open the race menu.... But once you do that.... get ready.

That's what I'm afraid of. That everything will go boom.

I had to take lots of screenshots from various angles and load them up on my second laptop for reference. I also double backed up my saves before I installed SKSE64. So at least if something freaks out, I can go back to my pre SKSE build. I'm fond of my character and it would kill me to lose her.

Like I said though, ECE won't make any changes to your character until you try and edit it.

Here's what it looked like when I loaded my vanilla toon in the editor.

That wasn't so bad. I was expecting something like this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/images/14814/?

Someone should turn it into a start menu background.
