About this mod

Durzogs, sometimes called sludgepuppies, are carnivorous animals not dissimilar to reptilian dogs. They have striped green scaly skin, six red eyes, spines on their back, head, legs and tail, and large teeth and claws designed for tearing. Durzogs are often domesticated by goblin tribes for hunting, guard and to fight on wars between clans.

Durzogs, sometimes called sludgepuppies, are carnivorous animals not dissimilar to reptilian dogs. They have striped green scaly skin, six red eyes, spines on their back, head, legs and tail, and large teeth and claws designed for tearing.

Durzogs are often domesticated by Goblin tribes for hunting, guard and to fight on wars between clans, although, according to some scholars, their own intelligence can rival that of their handlers, and they only obey the Goblins due to their weaker minds, but this view may just be the result of prejudice against the intelligence of the Goblins.

Snowsnarl Durzogs are blue-skinned, feathered durzog sub-species that are know to dwell in cold climates, such as in the north of High Rock, Solstheim and Skyrim. Commonly trained and used by both Riekrs and Rieklings. The Reachmen's Icereach Coven was known for using magic in the wombs of their mothers, shaping them to be suitable as large mounts known as the Frostborn Durzog Mangler.

The Emberthroat Durzogs were bred for their wicked intelligence by the Netch Gouger goblins of Vvardenfell, quite possibly outwitting them, and only those with nimbler minds keep their loyalty as pets. Purple in color, and with fire-colored throats and shoulders, as well as their eyes, what gave them their name, with the eruption of Red Mountain and the destruction of Vvardenfell, this variant almost found its extinction, except for some puppies that had been captured or traded with the island's Goblins, and the variant is still employed nowadays in Solstheim as guard dogs by both Reavers and Morag Tong, probably also on the mainland of Morrowind too.

Like the Goblins, the origin of the exotic Durzog is traced back to Summerset Isles, and the only wild populations of Durzogs that can be found outside of it come from animals that have been strayed and started to reproduce in a feral way.
Apart from these, Durzogs are always seen accompanied by their owners, whether these are Goblins, Rieklings, Riekrs, or even rarely other races, such as Elves or Humans.

Durzogs are generally not welcome in the Orc Strongholds, as their mischiveous nature disturbs other creatures domesticated by the Orcs, such as the Echateres and Welwas (both matter for other mods), with them having an endless struggle with the latter, usually resulting in the impertinent Durzog's death, due to its much smaller stature and strength. Because of this, the occurrence of strayed Durzogs in Skyrim is generally close to Orc Strongholds, since, when seeking shelter to the Orcs, any clan of Goblins must abandon their domesticated Durzogs, to be allowed to stay.

(ATTENTION: this mod adds Strayed Durzogs near Orc Strongholds, adds Snowsnarl Durzogs to Riekling
camps and Emberthroat Durzogs to some Reavers and Morag Tong settlements. To add Durzogs to Goblins camps or
Snowsnarl Durzogs to Riekrs camps you obviously need to download my Goblins and Riekrs mods.
When downloading these 3 mods, since they share some files, it is normal for you to be asked if you
want to overwrite files. You can do it or not, whatever, none of my mods are obviously incompatible,
they just often share files, and it doesn't matter if you overwrite or not.
