About this video

I'm working on Atronach Crossing, a home decoration mod named in affectionate homage to Animal Crossing. The mod lets you place a home wherever you like, and decorate it as you see fit. Each interior will be as close to a blank slate as I can get it, and structure pieces -- ramps, catwalks, large pillars, and walls -- will be made available, so that you can truly create your own space. Moreover, ease of use has been among my primary goals since the very start of development.

The video shows off the core features, which are fully-functional (and have been polished a bit in the days since the video was recorded). The entire mod won't be release-ready for a few more months, given the difficulty of mesh editing with free tools and my urge to do ALL the things. :\

I've managed to accomplish a few things that I'm fairly sure haven't been done by any Skyrim modder before. Movable bookshelves are one: each bookshelf is an assembly of invisible markers, and moving the markers with the shelf requires rotation math that took a solid month of research to implement. That math is also used for each of the homes and configurable decorations, to keep plants in planters, flames in sconces, corpses in cages, doors on towers, and lids on sarcophagi.
