Have to say im a big fan of your seri's your lvl of curtacy and the way you explain sertain features are top notch. I was thinking about making a mod seri's of my own till i saw one of your seri's.. yep i stopped bothering.. Annyway THANKS for all your hard work, manny of the mods you listed i use.

Maby you can take 1 mod as a topic, sinse i know your really in to the NON lore breaking mods try out "tamrielic lore Crysamere" this weapon has been with me from the start and matches the Warrior/Mage chararcter perfect. Hope you find it as facinating as i do, keep rockin ur seri's bud !

He mentioned "PISE" which is ASIS more or less now. or vice versa however you want to word it the PISE page will forward you to ASIS for updates.

It may be lore breaking, but honestly without it the staff is useless other than for fulfilling quest purposes, which just seems annoying seeing as it is the best looking staff in the game

I was surprised golpher doesnt seem to use ASIS, is there another popular mod that improves the enemy ai and increases spawns ?

    Great work Gopher <img class=">

Insightful as always, Gopher. I was wondering if Staff of Magnus Absorb Fix was stll useful. Wish they'd accept it as a bug and make it absorb the magicka!

I disagree it's not a bug and the fix is lawbreaking

Mirabelle Ervine said the Staff of Magnus was the only object adequate enough to contain the power of Magnus.

Magnus clearly used the staff to absorb his own powers.

If you had played since Arena you would remember that in the first 3 games it absorbed your own mana in return for health, if the stats were to change that's what it should be given.

I lost my TES virginity with Morrowind. Still, based on what was posted in the Staff of Magnus Absorb fix thread, I'm inclined to disagree with you as well:

Just to settle the argument once and for all.

    http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Staff_of_Magnus

States that the effect is a Absorb XX magicka per second. If the target is out of magicka, absorb health instead enchantment.

If you follow their link to what Absorb magicka means it states

    http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Absorb_Magicka

Absorb Magicka (a.k.a. Drain Magicka) transfers <mag> points of Magicka from the target to the person wielding the weapon.

Also in the Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion the book Tamrielic Lore refers to the artifact Staff of Magnus. It states...

The Staff of Magnus, one of the elder artifacts of Tamriel, was a metaphysical battery of sorts for its creator, Magnus. When used, it absorbs an enemy's health and mystical energy. In time, the Staff will abandon the mage who wields it before he becomes too powerful and upsets the mystical balance it is sworn to protect.

So in conclusion, the Staff of Magnus put into the game Skyrim is, to put it bluntly, broken. This mod appears to fix the breakage and return the glorious Staff of Magnus to it's original intended artifact capabilities.

Great video! Thanks for making it!
(Could be even greater if you mentioned Apocalypse instead of Midas Magic but I'll let that slip)

Thank you for the recap's Gopher. It can be hard to navigate with so many great mods coming and going. It's nice to have a refresher and find some gems we missed or odd ones that no longer work. Thanks for the time you put into these vids.
    cheers.
