When Bethesda said they were trying to bring some of that back and walk the line between Morrowind and Oblivion I thought they were talking about culture, not creatures.
Fine, I now know what one of my first mods is going to be: convert ALL centurions in game with something else... not steam based. Ha.
I would assume to be various types, as in Morrowind, they walked on legs as well ">
So, hopefully, we'll see both of those, if not even more!
Edit: http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/01/14/the-sounds-of-skyrim.aspx Around 1:40. Guy calls it a Dwarven Sphere and makes note that it appeared in Morrowind.
W-WHAT?!!! ... *faints and falls*
(I've never played Morrowind, but I just saw the elderscrolls.wikia.com page for steam centurions)
Difference from Morrowind is that they used to role around on balls, now they walk on legs. I find it pretty cool! (OR there are various types, which is even cooler!)
