I don't know about you, but I already have a mod (Wet and Cold) that adds frost/snow to characters when it's snowing. I don't need white blotches all over my texture. I think Frostfall and Get Snowy have similar tweaks as well.
Plus, the original texture looks really weird if you're not even in an area that's snowy. There's no way it wouldn't melt in some of Skyrim's more temperate areas. But there it is, unyielding upon your warm fur and hide armor. Unless you get this texture, of course.
So I cleaned and repaired them up a bit and made them look more muddy instead of snowy.
I also added upon request a grey trim, snow (white) and shadow (black) versions.
