Added new video showcasing new animations to description.
1.1 Date uploaded : 13 Jan 2020
This is a reupload of 1.1 with no actual changes. I only removed 2 walk animations that I had included by mistake. If you have downloaded version 1.1 already you don't need to download it again. You can manually remove those 2 files from your data folder/PCEA pack :
1hm_walkforwardright.hkx 1hm_walkforwardleft.hkx
I had to do a reupload without them, since these could be from the author that I did not ask for a permission to use since I never originally intended to place them in my pack and those 2 animations got there by a mistake.
Sorry for this dumb question, but I just want to clarify: this mod works for Legendary Edition, right?
Do I also have to tick any of the boxes in FNIS? Because this is what I did. I'm using Vortex Mod Manager, so I'm assuming that the file path [skyrim\data\meshes\actors\character\animations\FNIS_PCEA 2] would be [Vortex mods\data\meshes\actors\character\animations\Nemesis_PCEA] instead. Everytime I right-click FNIS_PCEA 2, it leads me to the Vortex Mod folder. I deleted every single folder that's already in FNIS_PCEA2 like the oriental animations and mystic knight. Then, I placed the [0_1h LE] folder inside of the FNIS_PCEA2 folder. Now, [0_1h LE] is the only folder inside, with all the animation files inside it. Afterwards, I run [GenerateFNISforUsers.exe], no boxes ticked, and generates the FNIS. It shows this:
??0 animations for 1 mods successfully included (character).
??1 Warning(s).
Then finally, I go back to Vortex and deploy the mods. It tells me that files were changed outside of Vortex, and asks me if I want to Save the files, Revert the Files, or Use Newer Files. I've tried them all.
Now when I run the game, FNIS_PCEA2 is there, but it still lists the old animation files (oriental, mystic knight) and some of them are already ticked on. My swing animation is still the same (vanilla). I uninstalled the "vanagrand 1H normal attack" so it reverted to the vanilla.
The only combat-related animations that I have is: - Vanagrand idle and walk - Vanagrand sneak - Vanagrand Sprint - TkDodge - Inpa Sekiro - VioLens - FNIS - FNIS_PCEA2
I've turned off the following (uninstalled) using Vortex: - Nemesis - SkySA - Dynamic Animation Replacer - Vanagrand 1 Handed Attacks
I don't use Vortex, so idk how it works. If FNIS shows "0 animations for 1 mods successfully included (character)." Then I suppose in Vortex you also need to add a executable tools such as FNIS, Dyndolod, TES5Edit etc. to Vortex and run them through it? As it is now, Vortex is not seeing those animations. The message " files were changed outside of Vortex" would also confirm this. As a side note, SkySA uses it own animations, animations made for vanilla combat won't work with it.
BTW. This mod is rather dated, but if you prefer to stick to vanilla combat then Diverse Random Normal Attack is a better substitute for my mod.
This mod works fine. But it seems to impact the visual effects of spells that produce a stream or beam.
Basically, the spell doesn't actually produce the beam or stream. But it still damages the target.
In the midst of trying to troubleshoot, I got it to work where it will show the beam or stream, but it will not show the visual effects when the spell makes contact with the target.
I have tried modifying the Skyrim INI file for particle effects and what not, per instructions online of those having similar issues, but it wasn't a solution for me.
Any thoughts?
EDIT: Nevermind. I may have figured out the source of the problem. It isn't exactly your mod I have just found out.
I had that problem in the past. there are actually several FNIS_PCEA2 folders. you need to put all the animations you want to use into 1 folder, you find this folder in Skyrim/Data/meshes/actors/character/animations/FNIS_PCEA2. you name the folder what you want, just add a number from 1 to 9 in front, for example my folder is named "1 Samurai 1h Animation". Inside that folder is only .hkx files, not more folders. of course run the FNIS generator afterwards.
Do you have any other packs that you could check if they're working? If not might aswell reinstall FNIS PCEA2 and check those few that it comes with. Is it your first installation of PCEA, or have you used it in the past?
Shame that deleted account closed. His comment should be pinned. Thanks for this. Been looking forever how to get that figured out. Def a lifesaver bro.
Nice pack. By the way, could you make a standing two-handed stance like the one on your screenshot? I would like making a Genjuro character and that would be perfect.

Insanity's Celtic Katana - PROJECT SHINSEKAI?
