This is a port from SSE. There might be some differences because SSE works with DirectX11 and all the textures were converted from DX11 to DX9 format for this version. My hope is that the effects will still appear satisfactory.

Thank you everyone, enjoy the new looks and have fun!

amazing, I had seen it before but I just installed it now, it's great, great job, thanks for sharing it. I've only tried oakflesh so far, but I'm sure they're all great.

IF you use this and cutting room floor you will need the remove alteration effects patch for cutting room floor to see these textures. First load cutting room floor then load no alteration after it then flesh fx after that. Thought I would share to help others out.

Also, what mods were being used in the screenshots to get your character looking so crisp?

Hey guys, first of all, thank you DeserterX for this, yet another, amazing mod !

I have a question though, as I am using Cuttin Room Floor and the patch to revert the alteration effects it adds (it's really too big for me) I was wondering if I could remove the patch and simply install this as a replacer for the replaced effects from Cuttin Room Floor, I would assume so but would anyone happen to have any hindsight on that ?

Thanks in advance and take care !

Why not try the mod yourself then?

Thanks for backporting. Sadly, this looks nothing like on the pictures, which are probably from SSE. The look is more like line thin outlines of the small patches you see on the pictures.

EDIT: Problem resolved. The effect can be restored by resetting [CHARACTERGLOW] Intensity and Power values to 1.0. These settings also affect the other spell visual effects.

I would really appreciate some help. After watching the video demonstration it seems to me that the filler texture is not loaded in my game. I tried disabling all other mods, but even that did not help.

Hello, the video was shot at 1080p on Skyrim SE with multiple passes of antialising from the game and the ENB. If you are using smaller resolution or no antialising the effects will appear more or less as outlines. If that's not the case then try reinstalling the mod, perhaps the textures aren't installed properly, they should be located at textures/DX/FleshFX/

Thank you very much for helping. Textures are working and are animated. I disabled them as a test and this made the spell effect invisible. I run just a single pass of SMAA on high, but i still suspect something is wrong, since the "end effect", which looks like a smooth fadeout in your video is not there. After the blue flash, the overlayed texture instantly vanishes.

Just did a test again, everything looks fine and the end effect works. The screenshots people submitted look great as well. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with Skyrim and what other mods or ENBs etc are available that may cause a conflict, I only use SSE. :(

I installed SSE and tried your mod there as well. And it looks COMPLETELY different from LE. On SSE they look like the pictures advertise. Are you sure the textures you use are compatible with LE? On LE, the effect is not really a texture, just a bunch of lines looking like a terrain height map in an atlas.

The textures are compatible no prob, as they work fine on my end.
Might be a problem on yours.
Try to check if there's no other mod running in your list that may alter the spell overlay (I had mage tweak effect on at first, so I just uninstalled the mod), and you might as well want to check if the files are correctly installed within the correct directory in your game folder.

Thank you all. I figured it out. Enabling UseOriginalObjectsProcessing is a crude workaround solution. A better solution came from HHaley, the creator of Kwanon ENB: "The effect can be restored by resetting [CHARACTERGLOW] Intensity and Power values to 1.0. These settings also affect the other spell visual effects."

Hey! I know i will sound dumb but, where did you find the [CHARACTERGLOW]?

Darn, I'm getting the exact same as described by Tl36X, and I do not have [CHARACTERGLOW] in my enbseries.ini. Does this mean I am not able to fix the problem without altering my ENB setup? Get the outlines of the textures but no discernible color on any of the spells except Dragonhide, but even with Dragonhide it's further from the screenshot than close to it.

And what about for those of us on potato PCs who are not running ENB at all except in memory-patch mode? We have no such setting to change. Is the problem only affecting ENB users?

I didn't have character glow either, but I found out that merging the file in the bashed patch could also lead to some buggy looks

I like the mod but it reverts the alteration activate sound to vanilla. I'm using Immersive Sound Compendium and it changes the alteration spells. For example oakflesh sounds like.. well an oak being crushed, stoneflesh sounds like stone etc. Is there a way to get that back?

Here's a patched ESP at Mega. You should probably learn to use TES5Edit; it took under 3 minutes to fix this. :-)

DeserterX: Feel free to just add this to your Files area. I'm not going to make a whole mod page for this, and am not proprietary about mini-patches like this in any way. :-)

I would really like to check that esp file out, but the link you provided is broken. It never occurred to me to use Tes5Edit for some reason, I'm not much of a modder haha.

Is there a way to get these effects to work on other modded "mage armors" for example the ones added with Forgotten Magic? I love this mod, but would like to be able see the lovely effects on all my spells.
