I just wanted to thank everyone for their kindness and encouragement.
Attention! Since KS Hairdos updated, the MAIN files here are no longer needed. The transparency issues were dealt with. However, the OPTIONAL files can still be useful!
will this mod be updated for the newest version of KS hairdos? Not necessarily for the transparency fix, but for the breast weight painting. Just wondering.
Well, the breast weighted hairs I have here are up to date with gamefever's. I won't be producing breast weighted hair meshes.
As for the new meshes in KS Hairdo's, they have addressed the transparency issues in the main mod, making the meshes here for main KS Hairdo's obsolete.
Ruh, could u tell how you fixed these nifs? i have an older version of ks (i guess it's older as the main Kallies doesn't seem to have hdt, and the hdt ks mods i see are older than this transparency fix) and i use the Cassy hair. it def has the hair over eye problem. how do u fix the nif please?
Ok, after hours & hours of trial & error, I finally found out why KS Hairs don't show up in the game. Apparently, KS Hairs hates female bodies that have animated p****y.......Particularly, All-in-One UUNP HDT AP 4.0 Standard Edition. I removed this female body from my game, and the hairs returned.
As far as KS Hairdo's goes....I went through all 700+ meshes. These were the ones found to have an issue. Or are you referring to a different mod specifically?
O.O Whoa! You hard-working genius. ... I feel so dumb. Oh, my gosh. I could've sworn I already had this installed. I apparently did not. Good gosh. Sorry for wasting your time. LOL.
It doesn't appear to be on Nexus. As such, if the author is choosing not to promote their work here...I don't think it's right to provide patches for it here either. If it comes back to Nexus, I'll look it over to see if it needs it.
HelloSanta took SG Hair Pack down because of an alleged copyright infringement. It would probably be a better bet to post an "Article" here explaining what you did, so others can fix it in their own SG Hair Packs and such.
As per Custom22's Witness transparency Fix page (he explains with pictures there), I looked at every single non-hairline, non-scalp mesh. If they had a zero for NiAlphaProperty, I set it to a minimum of 40 like the majority of the other meshes. I think 1 or 2 meshes had this set at 20. Just for grins, I set them at 40 as well. Any meshes with a value of 40 or greater, I left alone. The meshes I was finding to have the zero value were also hairs that others complained about in mod page comments, so I knew I was on the right track with this fix.
Great work. It's a subtle thing, and people who like a cartoony/anime-ish game probably don't care, but us realism mongers definitely do. (If anyone can't figure it out yet, look at the eyes in the screenshots; notice how the Before pic has big black stripes running through them cause but why should be very thin bits hair, while the After pic has thin hairs you barely see).
Was this an issue on the LE version? I don't recall ever having transparency issues in LE on the KS hairs (like how it was really obvious on the Witness hair in SE).
The issues in the SE version were inherited from the LE version. The screenshots I provided are from Oldrim just to show that the problem did exist in LE as well. Perhaps maybe SE exaggerates the issue? Either way, it's not an issue anymore for either platform.
I applied the same method to Merida Hair, which obscured the characters eyes at certain angles. Now I can actually use Merida Hair again, thanks to you!
You should thank Custom22 for coming up with the solution. All I did was apply it on a large scale. But I'm glad so many people are finding this useful :)
To quote DonProtein a bit: You sir, are a hero! It must have been tedious going through all those meshes one by one, I bow to your efforts, and even take my hat off to you sir. Thank you for this.

Having the NiAlphaProperty set to 0 is what causes the issue.
I'm gonna try "Clams of Skyrim" next........
