DESCRIPTION

Support for this mod is over :(  That doesn't mean it's not working or anything, just that i won't update it anymore.
Dreams & Nightmares is now available as an addon for my new music mod Nyghtfall, which is compatible with almost any other music mod using a mator smash patch.

Music plays a big part in Skyrim and the Elder Scrolls Series. Without the well crafted Soundtrack by Jeremy Soule, the game probably wouldn't be the same as we know it now (in my opinion). For me the music always creates a sense of wonder and mystery when played while exploring the world of Skyrim.

Now the aim of this mod is to create more variety to the Soundtrack of TES V Skyrim. But not just by simply adding random tracks to it, but by adding tracks with various moods. For example an Exploration track with a dark/melancholic mood, or a combat track that is less dramatic, but makes you feel more like a badass (Especially at a high level).

Each track in this mod was written just for Skyrim. At the moment it adds more than 1 hour of new tracks (currently 20 tracks) including:

7 Combat tracks (4 for normal encounters, 2 for Dragon encounters, and 1 for both + civil war combat)
8 Exploration tracks (for general exploration at Day & at Night)
3 Dungeon tracks
1 Tavern track
1 Castle track

NEW TRACKS

INSTALLATION

Simply download & install via Nexus
or
Copy & Paste the data folder in your Skyrim folder (after you unzipped it using 7zip, Winrar, ...)

! Make sure that the Plugin is activated !

The requiered mod "Personalized Music" by "No_Aardvarks_Allowed" (the 'script' i'm using for this mod) is already included.


COMPATIBILITY

This mod is compatible with mods that only replace the original soundtrack.

This mod is not compatible with other non replacer mods that use Personalized Music (Immersive Music for example)

But you can make it compatible if you want to, here's how:


1. Download my mod manually and extract the .zip file


2. Go to ...\Skyrim\data\music and you'll see multiple folders with names like "Castle", "Combat", "Combat - All" ...
    [ My mod has the same folders (there might also be folders that only appear in my mod folder / your skyrim folder, but that doesn't matter) ]

   
3. Look for file conflicts and fix them:

    - open one of the folders and look for the highest number ( for example "MMCastle19" in the folder named "Castle" )

    - open my mod folder and then the one folder with the exact same name, in my example: "Castle" ( if it exists, if not move on with the next folder )

    - rename the files of my mod so that they do not replace yours, in my example: "MMCastle01" --> "MMCastle20" if there are more files rename
      them like this:
                                            "MMCastle02" --> "MMCastle21"
                                            "MMCastle03" --> "MMCastle22" 
                                            "MMCastle04" --> "MMCastle23"
                                             and so on...                               ( you basically change the numbers )

    - do this for every other folder

                         Here's another example for the "Combat" folder:

                         1. Look for the highest number: "MMCombat15"  ( in ...\Skyrim\data\music\Combat)
                         2. Rename my files :

                                            "MMCombat01" --> "MMCombat16"
                                            "MMCombat02" --> "MMCombat17"  
                                            "MMCombat03" --> "MMCombat18"  
                                             and so on...           


4. You can now either create a new archive ( zip, rar, etc. ), which is recommended for easier installation & uninstallation,

   or you can copy & paste the data folder of my mod into your skyrim folder



Currently supported mods (see main files)

- Yggdrasil Music and SoundFX Overhaul

- Immersive Music

- Enderal Music for Skyrim

! If you use multiple music mods ( let's say for example Yggdrasil and Immersive Music ), it will make the compatibility versions pretty much useless !
