Others seem to get the mod to work fine with Convenient Horses, maybe play around with load order or load your mods with TES5Edit to see if there's some other mod that's affecting sprint because it sounds like some other mod might be at fault.
Very good mod description, thank you for your creation. However I have a question on compatibility: is this mod compatible with any other horse saddle mod like Craftable Horse Barding?
I'm real late but the aura would have reappeared on its own after some time. Certain changes like that need the model of the horse to be "unloaded" from the game's memory and then reloaded into memory - it would have happen automatically if you had travelled through a couple load screens or just disable and reenable the horse via console.
New update dropped today with a new main file that will allow Frost to inherit all of the bonus passives and removes all of the active abilities like the cloak spells and special effects. The update also adds a bit more details to Frost's textures. Please don't forget, if you like the mod then consider leaving an endorsement. <3
It's weird, but my version of Swift Steeds doesn't work. Horse never changes. I tried to put only it, then tried to put Normal Version together with Swift Steeds, but the frost became just white and it's all. The saddle doesn't change either. Did I do something wrong? I have mods only Convenient Horses and animations Revamped.
Follow the instructions in the "Mid Game Installation" section of the mod description on how to update the saddle and special effects if things don't show up immediately.
I'm home now and double checked, I was wrong, trying to use a combination of the normal version with the Swift Steeds meshes isn't possible - the horse will revert to a white vanilla Frost. Sorry, you will have to resort to using one of the other two main files - default or the glowing eyes only. I'll work on a third Swift Steeds mesh, one that will not have any glowing eyes, when the time comes pair that mesh with the glowing eye only version to accomplish the same effect of getting a normie horse.
Okay, I'm going to make the PermaFrost (Normal Version) obsolete soon. I've just renamed the "PermaFrost (Glowing Eye Only)" main file to "PermaFrost (No Aura Version)," use that main file and the new "PermaFrost - Frost Mesh Replacer (Without Glowing Eyes - Swift Steeds)" to set the Swift Steeds Frost to look normal and without the chilly aura. Thank you for this comment! You actually helped and gave me the idea to open up more options for other folks. For example, folks will now be able to use the Default main file and the Without Glowing Eyes frost mesh replacer to make a Frost that looks normal but with the chilly aura.
Yes, thank you too. It was hard (:D), but I did it. However, now it seems to me that I have found two more problems. The Revamped animations in Frost don't work, this horse moves like vanilla (while my Shadowmere moves like Revamped animations). And during the rain ice freezes on Frost, I would say, incorrectly. For example, right at the rider between his legs.
I'll need permission from that author to use that mod's specific mesh to let things work and the ice forming near the saddle can't be helped because it spawns randomly on the body.
I've released a new main file: PermaFrost (Subtle Aura Version). As the name suggests it makes Frost's chilly aura a bit less intense. It also attempts to mimic snow flakes, yes snow flakes, Frost will now emanate snow flakes in his wake. Please remember to endorse the mod, endorsing the mod will boost its rankings and ensure that more folks actually find it easier in search.

all at the bottom of my list.
My char, all of a sudden, has a black face.
You need to have the Saddle Replacer Original Mods installed, to get it working, correctly ;)
