Just in case there is a problem with spacing with the variable height code and it doesn't seem to work, you can copy and paste the one/s you want to start/work with. (Please keep in mind these are starting points until tested in your game until the right height is achieved.)

Am about to add some NIOverride support to a specific set of sandals so as to keep the pair from sinking. Just asking -- what if the end-user doesn't have either Racemenu or NIOverride? In any case, if I get this right I'll offer an option for the end-user to download the NIOverride-enabled sandals as a separate option.
Otherwise, gonna use this guide to convert rest of the shoes I like but missing in SSE.
I'm just circling back to say how much I'm enjoying my new-found skill. Thanks to Sleepytigereyes I can report that I've successfully converted a dozen different pairs of HDT High Heel System shoes over to NetImmerseOverride. I would never have been able to do this if it weren't for this excellent guide. Thank you again, Sleepy
Thank you Sleepy for adding this resource to the Nexus!
Some tips for those that are still learning: Make a cheat sheet of which number you used for your high heels/boots when typing it in on Nifskope. This will help you out greatly to keep track of which number your testing out in game. That way you can refer to which number you used last time and increase/decrease the number when your on Nifskope.
Thanks for that. Using a number, for example 7.5 for height adjustment, can make a difference as well. I recently adjusted flat sandals and used the height adjustment of 1.0 to keep them from looking like they sink into the ground and carpet.
I would really like to know if the same changes need to be applied to the additional parts of a footwear. AKA. If shoes have more than one part like heel, sole, straps, do you need to make the same changes to all parts?
No, the tutorial should tell you only the bottom of the footwear, you will not do anything to the feet or any of the other parts. When the bottom of the footwear is lifted correctly, everything else goes up with it. If not, that is a mod problem but I have not come across that yet.
Sleepy helped me figure out what I did wrong. Two things: a) I didn't put the needed space between the two zeros in the bracketed string (should be 0, 0) and b) I added an extra 'A' 'to SDTA and turned it into SDATA. Word to the wise: Use the copy/paste suggestion that Sleepy makes. ------------------------------ Hey, Sleepy,
I just tested my first conversion in-game and they didn't lift above the ground plane.
The file contains three NiTriShape records. One for the right shoe, one for the left shoe, and one for the feet. I didn't edit the feet. I'm thinking that I should have. Am I correct? I'm going to do that now and see what happens.

[Edit 1] I just added the NiStringExtraData to the feet. In the process I discovered that when I hand-typed this string [{"name":"NPC", "pos":[0, 0, 5.0]}] into the drop-down box, I didn't add the space between 0, 0, and 0, 5.0 as I didn't pick up on those small gaps.
I discovered this by taking your suggestion and copying/pasting the string out of your guide and into NifSkope. I added the correct string to all three NiTriShapes in the NIF file. BTW, I'm using 8.0 to lift these stiletto-heeled sandals: Cristill Dress Ribbon Heel.
Unfortunately, this edit didn't result in the shoes lifting above the ground plane. No joy.
Maybe the old NiO information is baked into the Save. I'm going to roll another toon and see.
[Edit 2] Nope, making a new toon didn't work. The NiO effect just isn't working. Man, this is frustrating. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
You don't install this. This is not a "mod." It's a document that contains step-by-step instructions for using NifSkope to edit high-heeled footwear so that they rise above the game's ground plane.
Inside the RAR file is a Rich Text File document that you must unpack from the RAR file.
Unpack the RAR file in its own directory.
Once unpacked, open and read the RTF file. Print the RTF file and have it handy as you use NifSkope to edit the footwear that you wish to lift above the game's ground plane.

I guess you've got a lot of talent for teaching people. Please keep up the good work.
