Would this texture/replacer work for the greatsword as well? Also, your replacer doesn't include the DSR patch from the original site, so I downloaded it from there and renamed the files accordingly, they should work, right?
Boi. I would be extremely excited to see a series of retextures made for billyro's or other high quality, realistic swords to give them some of the character of the vanilla swords, and make them not stand out as much. As I said, my greatest issue in the past when I simply replaced all my weapons in the game with these and similar quality was that they were terribly inconsistent. I can see that as a potential problem if you'd use another sword model for the greatsword version of the glass category, so I'd say be careful with that. It was a great idea to make a replacer directly available. :)
My thoughts are.. I have never seen a shortsword and greatsword that look exactly the same. Plus different smiths will design things differently. It just doesn't make sense to me, to have a two handed sword and a one handed look exactly the same.... I could be wrong, and people are welcome to give me their opinion on that. What you suggest is exactly what I am planning, by the way. Use Billyro's swords to replace the vanilla and keep them on the theme of the main game :)
I agree. It would be cool if there's a version with no writings on it. But the mod is still very cool and the writings isn't very noticeable judging from the pictures so I probably will have no problems ignoring it.
Thank you for the kind words. Progress initially stalled because my PC went down, and due to the nature of the problem, I had to save for a new PC. The good news is that I am up and running again, and beginning to compile all my assets that I had lost, so work will resume :)
I am working on that. The delay in releasing anything new is that my PC died. I will be getting a new one as soon as finances allow. Then I'll be back to work.
