May I suggest you move to another mod manager? Vortex is the successor to NMM, although I use Mod Organizer 2 (MO2) because it gives me the most information and control.
Thank you for this mod. This has been the best and most flexible war paint group I've used.
I did another install today and noticed something odd though: During installation MO2 paused and cycled this message 3 times....not sure if it has any real effect yet. Just FYI

I was just looking for a way to put a Dunmer warpaint on my Imperial character, but it turned out there was no simple way to do that. Every other mod required SKSE and Race Menu, which I don't use. So thank you so much for making your beautiful paints available to non-SKSE users!
This is what I did:
- Downloaded and extracted the vanilla replacer version of this mod. - Found the Dark Elf texture I wanted and made a copy of it - I have to thank you again for making this easy with the visible thumbnails and proper naming. - Found an Imperial texture I didn't care about and deleted it, copying its name onto the copy of the Dunmer warpaint.
Ta-da! My Imperial is now a proper adopted citizen of Raven Rock! I'll send screenshots soon <3
