    Dear author although I'm pretty sure you are not working on this anymore but I just want to say I like this a lot, the drug effect make sense and doesn't add too many stuff (don't like your future plan that you are not working on btw), however if you see this and bother to do something I suggest you make the drug effect time longer, say like make speed boost effect stay for an hour in-game time and the addiction for a week in-game time, cuz the addiction pretty much doesn't last any time at all since you can easyly get rid of it by waiting sleeping or fast-travelling, should be pretty simple I reckon you just change some numbers. And if you are willing to, maybe add a moderate stage between high and addicted for a day(24 hours - 1 hour high = 23 hours) in-game time, since drug addicts don't neccesary need to be constantly consuming drug when not high. Or someone else who knows how to do this ask the author for permission and make it?

      I actually enhanced this mod myself towards this precise purpose, including magicka withdrawl to simulate the mental damage of skooma seen in skyrim. just load it in CKit and add/change effects as desired. doing this for personal use is allowed, but not distributing it without asking the creator, but I don't think he is still around to care. just tell me if you want me to send you my version

    To the mod author (if the person ever reads this) you should probably remove the WIP flags and 'future plans'. It's obvious no one is working on this anymore.

    hi man, I posted this already in "Hardcore Skooma Overhaul by IronPlatypus" comments, but being an lazy ass I just copy paste said thoughts here and hope them frowns directed my way aint too bad.

    a few suggestions if I may: together with visions blurr/psychedelic visuals why not add halluceneic visions such as rabbits, deer, mammoths, wolves, bears or even dragons?
    could be a summoning/unsummoning effect I guess, and a slight risk of "a very bad trip" where said creatures goes feral and attacks you. thinking about our fabulous hero taking damage from a pack of wild rabbits in a skooma hive makes me chuckle.

    and because everything is in ones head, theres no loot to be had than, mayhap, peace of mind. think: puff the magic dragon. hell, some might even speak to you, althought I can't imagine there would be anything important to be heard.

    also the addiction could grow stronger over time, first a bottle a day without hardly any "side effects" just bonus and long time effects/visuals. then you would need two bottles for the equivalent 'bonus', then three etc while said random visions grow more feral and vicious for each day without the precious skooma/or narcotic. so ya get kinda lured/fished in all while the negatives accumulate. cake in the beginning, hell in the end.

    all bad side effect would 'dispell' at the first gulp but say, a week into addiction ya would need 4-5 bottles a day to keep the negatives away. hope my ramblings made any sense. thanks for your time.

      I would guess because skooma isnt a delierant, its a narcotic...

      Technically, it's a narcotic... but the narcotics in the real world work mostly as depressants (morphine, opiates, etc). Skooma seems to be a stimulant- like an amphetamine.

    would be perfect if it required 1moonsugar + 1(or3) nightshade. Because nightshade can be harvested, but moonsugar cannot.

    Yeah... There's like 3 mods.


    (In my humble opinion)

    Dangerous has the best Effects. (stamina regen for 20 sec.)
    Inc. has the best concept (especially the antidote.)
    and Addictive seems ... in the middle. =)


    To me ... we need the 3 mod authors to just.... HANDLE skooma.

    Concensus: to me ... its like homie said. "I about faced and ran like made while popping Skooma and a health pot (I use another mod which makes health pots heal over time rather than instant). I then turned round and attacked them like a real Skooma fiend xD "

    Ever considered adding a form of addiction to this? I love the withdrawals, but I'd love to see a more permanent status effect as well. This is the best Skooma mod I've tried in Skyrim anyway. Good job.

    I think adding the pipe and maybe chokeweed would be a fantastic idea. As well as adding more adverse effects for Balmora blue, since its supposed to be even more illegal than skooma. Perhaps even adding a recipe for Double distilled skooma?
