About this mod
Getting killed no longer forces you to reload your last save; instead, you turn into a ghost for about fifteen seconds, and are given a chance to leave the area.

In vanilla Skyrim, dying forces you to sit around on your butt waiting for your last save to load up. It's boring and uninteresting, and to the extent that it "punishes" player death (by wasting all the time you spent since your last save), that punishment is tedious and unimaginative.
This mod implements Elder Scrolls Online-style death in Skyrim. When you're killed, you'll turn into a ghost for about fifteen seconds. In that state, you can't interact with NPCs, locked doors, harvestable flora, containers, or items, and you can't fight. It's an opportunity to retreat from whatever situation you were unprepared for.
The mod is somewhat experimental. I've subjected it to rigorous "laboratory testing," but I don't play with any of the big hardcore gameplay mods, so during casual play, I don't die often enough to count as "testing" the mod there.
Features
When you're killed, you become an incorporeal ghost. In this form, you cannot be detected by any NPCs even when they're scripted to attack you. You remain in this state for about fifteen seconds.
By default, resurrecting at the location of your death requires a filled soul gem. Resurrecting off-site, at the nearest discovered settlement, town, or city, is free. This can be configured using an INI file.
Incorporeal players cannot loot items, interact with locked doors, or speak to NPCs.
If you're killed while being pursued by a guard, your bounty to the guard's faction will be forcibly paid, and your stolen items will be confiscated.
The death count on your ActorBase is incremented. This means that other mods can check how many times you've died by using GetDeadCount on the base Player/Prisoner form.
