1. On my side (LE still on 32bit computer), it seems to work fine: the letter is in place, Sabjorn has the right dialogue lines and Maven is killable (Hurrah!).
2. Suggestion One: to avoid ANY problem with the Thieves Guild's main and side quests it should be good to add a couple of conditions to this quest: A: the vanilla quest "TGLeadership" must be completed. B: the Player should be at least recognized as Dragonborn (than means vanilla quest "MQ105Ustengrav" is completed). This for a more immersive reason to kill that B***h.
3. Suggestion Two: after this mod's quest is completed it should be very nice to add some dialogue lines to some "interested" NPCs like Mjoll, Bersi and others like: "Thanks, Dragonborn. You freed the World of a great evil".
NOTE: Even with this mod working and Maven killed, she is still a TG member and that causes the start of a "Reparation" quest for them. (For me, at this stage, is not a problem at all to pay 1000 gold because it's only a very little fraction of what I gained in the meanwhile).
I have noticed that this mod seems to break elements of Hearthfire. It does so in that it makes it impossible, at least with Breezehome and Honeyside, to successfully purchase kids rooms. I haven't tried it with the other pre-hearthfire vanilla homes. That being said, I use a port that I created for SSE. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I am going to try seeing what happens if I hold off on installing this mod til after I have all of the vanilla pre-hearthfire homes, fully upgraded.
Some time ago i tried to add kids beds in Severin Manor, but i wasn't able to make it work. I wonder if there some tutorial on how do something like that...
For me the Mod doesn't work at all: I downloaded and installed it via Nexus mod Manager. When I started the Game, i couldn't find the LEtter in the Black Briars House, neither did Vekel have one to sell. When I startet to search any Signs of this Mod using the Console, I didn't find anything. Does anyone have the same issues with it? I inactivated all other Mods before activating this one and used only the Basic Version of Skyrim (no Special Edition, skse or DLCs)
Not sure if you got this work for you yet but when I couldn't find the letter I tried to open this mod in the creation kit to look for it there only to realize I couldn't find the plugin. Turns out NMM didn't install it for some reason. The mod wouldn't show up until I manually installed it.
This mod won't start for me either. I installed with Vortex, with the plugin active. How do you install it manually?
Edit: I reinstalled the mod and I found the letter on the desk inside Maven's manor. But I still can't kill Maven. The letter says Sjborn (I think) has put out a Darkbrotherhood contract on Maven. I went to Sjborn and no dialogue. The only way I can kill Maven is with Console command removing her Essential standing. Do I have to belong to the Dark Brotherhood before I can kill Maven?
I got it: NMM semms to be unable to install the Mod automatically. I had to do it manually and then it worked fine. For those who need a manual: I've written one in this Forum:
Reportings about the mod. It does what it says. I finished the TG quests, won the civil war on the imperial side, and then killed Maven. Now Jarl Laila is back on the throne, the imperials still control Riften. and i'm still the guildmaster.
But, there are some caveats If you install the mod mid game, Maven will still be part of TG, which means killing her, even without witnesses as i did, will get you expelled, and you'll have to pay the reparations in order to get back.
Also, the unofficial patch fixes the situation where, due to the Imperial takeover, Jarl Laila is exiled, but her sons strangely remain on the keep. The problem now is that you kill Maven and Laila comes back, but her sons remain exiled in Windhelm. Any way to fix this? At least Saerlund should be allowed to come back, since lore-wise, he was always an imperial supporter.
I ported it just fine for personal use. I can't remember the steps I took but it can't have been hard for me to have been able to do it. lol If there are no meshes all you need to do is open the esp in the CK and save it.
Edit: I double checked. OK so it has a BSA, so that will definitely need to be extracted using something like B.A.E. - Bethesda Archive Extractor. Once extracted its an ESP (which is of course, already loose), some sound (voice) files and some scripts. Just the ESP needs to be converted using the CK. You don't have to repackage the loose files back into a SSE friendly BSA, I sure didn't. But I suppose that is always an option you can choose if you want to. I never do when I convert mods for use with SSE.
Must be said that at this point you could make all in the "destroy the thieves guild"quest. I mean, there's more than one already, but as far as i know they all have some issues here and there. Maybe creating an alternative version of becoming a nightingale without being on the thieves guild. Just throwing out some ideas. By the way i am, for certain, the first who can't stand that pig of Maven, so i totally agree with you.
I have a question regarding how this mod affects the Civil War result. In my current game, the Rift is controlled by the Imperials (who won the civil war). If i kill Maven, and Laila returns, will the hold remain imperial, or it will revert to pre-CW (stormcloak controlled)?
Bethesda decided not to include their quest to kill a Jarl in the release, and Arthmoor has declined requests to restore that quest. So unless the author is more explicit about how they've managed to do what Bethesda couldn't, I'd say this mod is DOA.
As far as I remember, you can kill her even when she is a Jarl, just change the location and preMaven Jarl (I don't remember her name) will take her seat. I tried the mod on the primary levels, it all worked. I'd advise you to kill her during the first Thieves Guild's quests (before she becomes a questgiver), I've remade some quests in order to avoid working for her.
Some one on Nexus already did what Arthmoor and Bethesda wouldnt. They were able to salvage the Boethiahs Bidding quest where your given the option to kill Jarl Elisif. I waited till i won the civil war on the imperial side before going through with it. + You dont know how many times i wanted to kill Maven Black Briar. YOur the Dragonborn and she thinks she can be a b&@*$ to you and demean you? This mod is perfect for me.
Just a small thing tat's easy to avoid if y ou know how DO NOT do this quest until AFTER finishing Taking Care of Business or else it will be impossible ot start Loud and Clear and join the Thieves Guild you won't be able to pay your tibute tot he guild because Loud and Clear will have never kicked off

Sorry for making it German, but as this is my mother Tongue I prefer using it for writing longer Texts.
