I created new textures for the monk robes, boots and hood and as well as new clothes in game, then applied each outfit to the right npcs. Namely targets non-unique npcs, changing it so conjurors wear monk robes, and those that use destruction spell wear clothes based on their element; either fire, ice, or storm (for shock spells). the enchantments on the outfits are all vanilla and based of the existing leveled gear that each npc wears.
I set up the file so that it retextures the items through the CK as oppsed to creating new meshes for each colour. This allows the use of mods the replace or edit the vanilla monk robes, such as Body Slide. The males version is strictly vanilla, so this should work for straight vanilla for the females as well.
I used the Remodeled Armor for CBBE Bodyslide HDT by ChronoTrigger77 - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25259/ personally, so if you use another outfit instead you might need to tweak things in the CK to add the textures to some of the pieces.
