I'm not a fan of the way perked enemies can bypass the arrow protection of heavy armors at random in Requiem 2.0. This mod changes three things related to archery related combat:
1. The arrow resistance provided by armors is always applied. So, wearing a tier 4 cuirass will always reduce arrow damage by to 0.6 of the original damage. Perks can no longer ignore this. The Piercing Shot and Penetrating Shot perk still bypass 15/55 % of armor, respectively.
2. Tier 1 body arrow protection has had its multiplier tweaked upward to 0.9.
3. Blur now reduces damage from arrow by a flat 30 points (50 if empowered). These were the minimum values in the random range (30-100, 50-300 if empowered).
These changes should provide for more consistent gameplay in combat. Generally, this makes archery weaker, as it's harder to punch through armor. Mages and low-level light armor characters can still be one-shot though. Heavy armor is much more reliable against archers and crossbowmen. The nerf to blur should make clothes wearing mages weary of ranged bandits for longer in the game.
