Don't know if the author realizes this or not but the older NPCs use their own normal maps (.msn) within their own folders & not the ones included within the default female/male folders. Old females use the femaleold folder while the old males use the maleold folder, meaning blank normal maps could be applied to the older NPCs without causing any compatibility issues with other mods. Just thought I'd point that out.

I do realize that the oldfemale and oldmale use different normal maps in the female/maleold folders, but i was under the impression that unlike the detail textures that could be taken away without influencing anything, the msn normal maps are important in giving the body form and are necessary. I'm new to this stuff, but i've encountered problems when running the game when the normal maps don't match the body and depending on the body I need a head_msn, body_msn, and hand_msn to match it. When the msn normal map is blank or missing, the body would appear completely black.

Perhaps there's a way to alter the normal maps to where they use the younger male/female normal maps? The No More Old Women mod accomplishes this with new normal maps for the older women so perhaps a similar strategy could be employed for the men?

I don't know if it's something of interest, but there's a mod for the old males called "No More Old Men" https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/65546/

I'm not sure about the quality of this one but there is one for females too. "No More Old Women" https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28301/?

I add the option of using younger male/females to replace the old, let me know if any issues come up..

I checked out the "No More Old Women" and "No More Old Men" mods.. Didn't know they existed which was why I bothered to make this at all... It seems that they took a different approach. I just threw in 0kb blank files while they took the original files and shaded it transparent. They pretty much do the same things otherwise.. Not sure if I should take this mod down since there are working versions available...

I think its fine what you did. I'm surprised there isn't more interest in these mods to be rid of things that make me go:

I mean you did make a "No Old Argonian and Khajiit" So that seems pretty good. I haven't downloaded yet, it's that my only concern is that I use "Fair Skin Complexion" and "Feminine Khajiit Textures (Grey Cat and Leopard)". Would any mod files you posted be compatible with these? I only have a simple grasp on face textures of NPCs.

"Feminine Khajiit Textures" replaces the body so there would be no problem with this mod though there wouldn't be much of a difference since Khajiit and Argonian faces don't change much being old. The mod "Fair Skin Complexion" has it's own freckle and rough texture so if you want to keep that, then just don't overwrite the file when you install. Otherwise, "Fair Skin Complexion" does nothing to the "old" detail texture so no compatibility issues would occur.

I and the other freckled redheads of the world object to freckles being lumped along with ugly.

Have you seen how ugly the vanilla freckles are in-game? They look more like pixelated blotches than actual freckles since the game is a direct console port that uses low poly meshes/textures. I believe this is what the author was pointing out & wasn't intending to offend anyone in particular, including redheads with freckles like yourself.

Yeah! These are especially bad with the Dunmer! Bad design choices as whole for the Elf races in this game! They all look deformed, the only ones that kida look decent are some of the Bosmer Wood Elves! The orcs also don't look that bad considering that they are supposed to look bad, actually they look much better than the High and Dark Elves. When I first saw a Dark Elf in this game I honestly though he was an Uruk Hai warrior form the Lord of The Rings.

I must admit I do use skin texture and overlay mods for freckles in my game, lol the modder I am sure is not unwise enough to stir up the wrath of the Coppertop Militant Tendency!

Finally! A mod that addresses a long-standing issue in-game. I was using an older mod (No More Older Women) but this takes it a step further & addresses the issues with the older males as well. Thanks for this.
