About this mod

This mod retextures and renames the "Rune" spells within the game.

What's up! I'll try to be brief and to the point, given how this is my first mod.

Purpose:
This mod replaces the vanilla rune textures with a set of my own making. There is also an additional .esp file that renames the Runes spells in the game, because I found the original names bland and boring, just like the designs.

The names have been changed as follows:
  • Fire Rune to Infernal Emblem
  • Frost Rune to Glacial Rune
  • Lightning Rune to Arcane Glyph
  • Ash Rune to Ashen Mark
  • Poison Rune to Noxious Symbol
  • Frenzy Rune to Spiteful Cipher

Requirements:
In general, while making this I was using the following .esm files:
  • Skyrim
  • Update
  • Dragonborn

...and that's all you will need to run this mod to its fullest.

However! If you only want the runes from the original game before the DLC (fire, frost & lightning) you simply install the 'Vanilla' version of the mod file and you'll be fine with just the Skyrim.esm. Which brings me to the next part....

File Options:
  • "All-in-One" This file has everything. All six textures, plus the renaming of the spells within the game. The renaming extends from the actual spell names in your character menus, to spell tomes, scrolls and staves. You need ALL the requirements for this one.
  • "Vanilla" This one only has the retextures for the Fire, Frost and Lightning runes. You only need Skyrim.esm to use this. No renaming.
  • "Dragonborn" This one only has the retextures for the Ash, Poison and Frenzy runes. You need Dragonborn.esm for this. No renaming.
  • "Rename" This one is a separate version of the renaming file. It ONLY renames the spells, scrolls, etc, but contains no textures whatsoever. This is for whoever doesn't want all the runes, but still wants the renaming for some reason. You need all three requirements for this one, as it renames all the runes regardless.

Installation/Uninstallation:
Nexus Mod Manager, or Mod Organiser should be able to handle these mods no problem. Otherwise you can still simply extract the files straight into the Data folder, merge if necessary. De-installation is also just as simple, just remove the Mod with whatever manager you're using, or delete its files manually from your Data folder.

Video Presentation:

If you have any questions go ahead and ask, I'll try to answer, but keep in mind that I'm still figuring things out myself. Enjoy! :D
