Erik the Slayer is a potential mercenary that the Dragonborn can hire if they help him become an adventurer. Starting out with Erik as a follower is one of the options in Alternate Start-Live another life, and is quite an interesting follower for role playing purposes. After using him for a good 20 hours I decided to make him Essential, as he kept on going aggro on everyone and kept on dying.
