Honestly i don't mind Charlie not fighting, he is a small cat, not a sabertooth tiger, instead it would be good if he could distract enemies and give you buffs instead while following you, if people want him to fight then make him able to transform into a sabertooth before battle.
I have not been able to play for a while, Have to do major work on my PC, but I still look into the mod section now and then. I saw your mod and thought 1. My Khajiit will have to get Charlie. and 2. Do you think of a modification of your Mod could be made that will make Charlie a Wizard's Familiar? I know that all the Mod's I have seen make summoned familiars but these are mostly all ghost type familiars. However, in AD&D a familiar is a living animal the gives the spellcaster some bonuses. Most would not be available in Skyrim, but, I could think of some that having him as a follower could provide. They could be Predator Vision or Night Vision - Stealth bonus - Jump and fall distance increase - Trap safety. these are some of the most obvious that I could think of that could be transferred to the spellcaster. To get Charlie they would have to find the (one use) scroll. After casting the spell, Charlie would show up a short time later.
I have a question! But before I do, Thanks for the awesome mod! I am a huge naruto fan and have the uchiha clan mod installed. is it possible to add the sharingan eye textures to a kitty? I would go absolutely bananas if I have an uchiha cat. Can a man dream? Thanks!
would love to see an option to say him "hey this is our home" so he can sandbox there. My "cover" kids would be happy about a cat since they only have that big dog they stole XD (I brought vigilant home (that dog you have to rent for 500 gold) and they wanted to keep him so I allowed it and told the owner he died XD (if your asking yourself "why cover kids?" My khajiit is prettending a "happy family" but is secretly the leader of three factions, her "husband" is a vampire and she's training her daughter as an assassin. That poor boy only gets dolls while the girl gets daggers as present)
Would it be possible to make Charlie work with the mod Simply Tame? That mod allows you to tame any non-farm animal by giving it food in sneak mode. From there, you can tell the animal to fight for you, flee during combat, follow, wait, dismiss, feed, etc. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/88884
the customs sound files do not work for me. Charlie uses the default sabre cat sounds instead. I did not use any mod manager to install the mod. Soundfiles are located in this folder \Skyrim\Data\sounds\voice\Charlie.esp\0_Charlie\... Might there be something wrong with the folder structure?
I did try using Follower Live Package to see if it would influence his combat. And. At first it did. I managed to get him to do a disarm shout during combat. But that was a one off, and since he has done nothing....:O(
Also, It seems he has invisible large (sabrecat?) meshes, as I trip over him or get blocked by him even when he is a foot or so to one side?
I'm aware of the collision problem and I'm currently working on a solution. In the next update, the invisible collision box around him is a tiny bit smaller, but not ideal. I need to learn how to edit it myself so that I can maybe attach the mesh to the canine skeleton instead. (since he is as big as a fox)
Yeah, collision! It's better not to stand on his way - he'll push you aside inevitably :)
Honestly, I want to talk about that naked corpse, the body of poor fellow, Charlie's owner. Excuse me, what am I supposed to do with this... ahem... object? I do have one spell added by Bury the Dead mod, but I wouldn't like to have a tombstone inside the house. Oh my, I've really got startled a bit by the look of this dead body's stir on a bed when I come in.
