Sorry to have been absent for so long from Nexus. Just wanted to let you know that the expansion to the mod is finished and it is very much an improvement on the original. I hope it is more compatible and I tried to take care to make no changes to the NPC's so that you can hopefully use all the best skins and presets. My scripting has improved and my ability to re-cutting of the vanilla dialogue is like night and day. Eventually, Brynjolf will even tell you "I love you". Now if that isn't a miracle, I don't know what is! It can be found under the title of "Brynjolf and the Riften Guild". It is now available here on Nexus for Skyrim LE and Skyrim SE. With its release, I will no longer be supporting this mod, as the new one is so much extended and improved. Thank you so much for all your interest.
"ilhe's "Friendly Brynjolf" (Some Player have used this classic with interesting results)" Interesting to say the least, lol. Particularly when you use the Amulet of Mara to marry him with that other mod. :P
That leads me to a question I had. I don't know if anyone's around that can answer, but is it safe to move him into a player home, or does his relationship dialogue only show up if he's in the guild master's room? I can't be sure, but the latter seems to be the case...
I'm unable to get the mod to work. It half works as the new locations appear but when reading the journal for the first time as I've only just installed the mod today, the quest doesn't appear. I have uninstalled, reinstalled and searched all I can to try and get this mod to work but nothing fixed it. Delvin also doesn't get the dialogue option to open the vault either and when using console command to unlock the vault, there's not offering alter there either.
Any advice on what I can try would be greatly appreciated!
I hit a snag. The container that is supposed to have the suspicious cabinet key was as empty as Old Mother Hubbard's cupboard and the key nowhere to be found. I double checked every container /mannequin/chest/drawer in the room ,including the ones in the escape tunnel. Could you please post the console command code for it
I ended using pc console command, ~ "unlock"
for a forced open but if you're not on pc, it's a long run around to access the tunnel. Finding Gallus's thieves guild armor hit me in the feels :(
This glitch aside, I'm in love with this & your Honeyside: Queen of thieves mod. Brilliant work.
Oh WOW... Just WOW. Until recently I had been using another Brynyolf as a follower mod on SSE, & found it very underwhelming. Yes, got to marry him, but that's as far as it went ..BORING!!!!!!!! THIS is the mod I'm so desperate for. Ever since I set eyes on our favorite hot red haired scoundrel, I've been dying to have a character be able to shack up with him. Yeah, ok it's on the sly, but after what went down with Karliah & Gallus, who blames him for wanting to be discreet, & If marriage may be possible in the future, yeah my alt would be up for that. Also happy there are not going to be any rug rats tying down our nefarious days & nights. As for the fighting, If Bryn thinks it's going all his way, my alt gives as good as she gets. He's going to get his butt dragged around Skyrim, helping me recover what Mercer's stolen ( I downloaded following Mercer, after checking it out on your recommendation, fills in soooooo many gaps that vanilla game left behind). Can't wait to dive in & start filling the coffers up. Maybe even go for a bath in all that gold.
Hello there: This is my first time ever posting on Nexus. However, I am currently playing this mod through mainly SE and don't know if it's a mod conflict that is causing this issue or if it's a normal through the mod. The issue that I am having is that I had went through the breakup dialogue and got back together with Bryn, but the Discrete arrangement quest is back in my journal even after getting back together and meeting him in Gallus's old room during the evening(which that part never shows as being completed.)He seems to not have any new dialogue during the evening either. I've completed getting the Vault rebuilt plus talked to Delvin and Vex about the relationship. The only new dialogue that I've had is asking if he and Vex were ever together and about the vault being completed. Other than that, there has been no new additional dialogue plus I can't get him to follow me anymore after I had to dismiss him in order to meet with him in the room before the breakup dialogue. I, also, have watched the walk through Youtube videos about this mod and I have never gotten much of the dialogue that has been said on the videos, either. I am a bit frustrated with not being able to figure out how to get him to have more dialogue with me during the night or if there is dialogue that has to be said during the day in certain areas. I've tried using the console commands that are listed in the forum. None of them work for me and come out with an error after typing them in.
I do appreciate the great work that was put into this mod and think it's a great mod except for the parts that I am frustrated about. Is there any way that there could be a better explanation on how to type the console commands in so the quest/dialogue could progress or am I going to have to restart in order to try and not have a breakup with Bryn?? Thanks.
I have to be honest, I am getting a really weird vibe from the video playthroughs. Its seems like more of a "mistreated play-bunny simulator" than anything else, and if that's your thing, no judgment, but its disappointing when you were expecting to have something a bit more...how should I put this...balanced, on both sides? Don't get me wrong, that's my fault for assuming, but I just felt the need to say something, you know? Maybe the description should have a disclaimer that the romance quest isn't really...actual romance? But on to my question...what do you mean when you say this mod has "interesting results" when used with Friendly Brynjolf? That could mean anything.
