About this mod

Tales mention Water Hags disguised as lost old women to lure travelers into the rickety shacks they build in the swamps. Their wrinkled wart-covered bodies are nearly six feet tall when erect, and they smell of mud and fish. Two-span-long bone tumors protrude from their back, with hair like a tangle of seaweed, and gaunty hands with sharp claws.

"Tales mention Water Hags disguised as lost old women to lure travelers into the rickety shacks they build in the swamps. Their wrinkled wart-covered bodies are nearly six feet tall when erect, and they smell of mud and fish. Two-span-long bone tumors protrude from their back, with hair like a tangle of seaweed, and gaunty hands with sharp claws.
However, how one could mistake one of these hideous aberrations for a poor old lost woman is only explainable in light of severe drunkenness on the part of the good samaritans involved.

These witches covered in slime and foul-smelling, are nothing more than another type of witch bestialized through the sacrifice of humanity they once possessed, in exchange for power. Just as Hagravens sacrificed their humanity to Hircine in exchange for the power they acquired, so these Water Hags achieved their current forms through similar rituals as well. Unfortunately these witches are even more difficult to study than the raven-matriarchs: they do not have any group documenting their lore, mysteries and secrets, unlike the Hagravens, who have the Reachmen as guardians of their mysterious arcane knowledge. Because they live isolated, often in uninviting places, and have an unpleasant and dangerous behavior, the origin and culture of the Water Hags are practically unknown to scholars, and there is also not much interest in studying them, being considered sentient beasts of lesser relevance. It is known that they can manipulate water magic, being able to use it in attacks of modest destructiveness, and represent a problem of lesser concern in villages, where sometimes they steal some stray animal, or try to kidnap a child who has ventured far away. However, these attempts usually end in the death of the hag, who can do little against 3 or 4 enraged peasants. This should not, however, make them less of a danger on the imaginary of the common folk, as in a moment of carelessness, they can prove to be lethal.

Although we encompass them all under the term Water Hag, some scholars divide them in 3 categories: Grave Hags, more common in cemeteries and catacombs, with a special predilection for rotting corpses and bones, being a common problem in cemeteries near lakes; Swamp Hags, who live in pestilent swamps and use their long tongues to root for food in the thick silt; and Water Hags, who prefer calm lakes and rivers to build their homes, and are commonly seen hunting and voraciously eating fish and crabs."

(*Who is Beastmaster Mihail? He is my avatar/persona within the universe composed of all my mods. He is the ingame author who writes the texts that are usually presented as descriptions for my mods. A former monster hunter, now a dedicated scholar, he is planned to be released as an NPC in late 2022/early 2023, doing the same job in-game as my descriptions do on Nexus.)

So far no incompatibilities have been found between this mod and other mods.
(OBS- If by chance when installing several of Mihail's mods at the same time you are asked about files overwriting those of other Mihail mods or other authors mods, don't worry because they are just the same files shared between mods. I recommend that on these occasions always give preference to the files contained in my mods, and among mine always give preference to the mod you are installing last.)

The Mihail Monsters and Animals series aims to create and make available to the community the most complete set of creatures for TES 5: Skyrim, implemented in an immersive and unique way, with respect to the pillars of lore. Instead of pathetically just throwing models and textures in the game reusing 100% vanilla mechanics, the creatures made by Mihail have uniqueness and extreme zeal in their idealization and implementation, which will provide you with an experience that you have never had before in this area.
