About this mod

Adds a new item based on the Amulet of Articulation with much, MUCH more armor. Sometimes fashion demands ingenuity.

Permissions and credits
The good stuff first:
The quest still gives an Amulet of Articulation.  player.additem f6911 1 still gives an Amulet of Articulation.  None of the mechanics of either amulet are modified (meshes and such). Because of this, I don't believe it'll have any compatibility issues or break anything, but it might work wonky if you directly replaced the textures and such of Articulation already.  Even then it should still function.  As is the norm, you can replace my sperg-given name when you enchant it.

player.additem xx0f6911 1 will give you an Amulet of Force Shield.  The enchantment was stripped off, the keyword preventing enchanting got the white-out, the armor was increased by just enough that with whatever buffs/effects I had, the result was a clean 600 (1.4x what was put on the amulet itself, however that happened).

Sounds simple, no?  Probably aren't many people who know they want this, but a few might once they see it.  I know I went looking for something similar and couldn't find any combination of mods that did what I wanted... so I did it myself.  When I managed to play for 10-12 hours with nothing exploding, I figured I'd upload it here.  Just stick it in the Skyrim data folder and enable it, I don't think it even matters, in terms of load order, where you put it.  Orifice of your choosing, etc.

You find some lovely raptor-clawed feet and the one set of vanilla footwear that doesn't cause clipping problems (and actually fits with the sneakiness of the character). A nifty mod for a crown, the right body, a pretty chameleon skin that's begging to be shown to all of Skyrim... and that luscious fishing-line-and-glass dress you had crafted.  Even the perfect-for-casting-AND-face-fisting mystic gloves you nicked from the College (and the research on wing-sprouting alchemy recipes) all fit together just the way you want.
And then you realize you have a problem.  As great as it all is to look at, the rest of Skyrim simply doesn't care.  The only thing they care about is the total armor rating of 0, and Legendary difficulty with fully-scaled enemies.  Bandits gladly lop off your head in one swing from 750 health.  Mammoths gladly chase you right into the welcoming arms of the new Giant-Assisted Space Program (GASP).  You could craft a whole set of armor (and at this point, could probably craft ONE piece reaching the armor cap), but you spent a lot of work looking as fabulous as you do and you aren't giving up on it now... what to do?
Eh, screw it.
Miniaturize a whole set of armor and wear it around your neck, good 'nuff.  You're wearing a full set of heavy armor "in spirit".  Didn't mom always say it's the thought that counts?

Update nobody cares about, and information maybe a few people do:
Had to delete the version with 1000 base armor, tried it myself just to see if it worked and it was borked.  Given the internal value for 1,000
armor was 100,000 in Snip, I'd assume a 65k rollover or something.  Oh well... 400-600 is way more than enough anyway.  Have read the maximum useful armor is 667 for 80% reduction (and some pieces of armor give a bonus that cannot be seen in-game, which is why the quoted number is usually 567).
