Q: Patcher doesn't work for me. A: Try running it just for Skyrim.esm and DLC files. If it works, then your configuration is ok, but one of your esp files has bad records. Often you will see an error in xEdit log, that will help you to determine a broken esp. But sometimes xEdit won't give you this information. In this case you must uncomment debugLogging line before running patch. Like here http://imgur.com/a/3qTEh After that you will get detailed log in the xEdit Messages tab. When you determine the culprit, you can clean/remove bad records in xEdit or simply stop using that plugin.
If you encounter any problem with vanilla ESMs, ALWAYS enable debugLogging and give me it! Otherwise I will not be able to help you.

I'm not sure what happened. The other day it was working fine. I removed a couple of mods to start a new game. Ran TesEdit, enabled the esp. In game it is only affecting armor. Weapons haven't changed but the esp in TesEdit says otherwise. I'm at a loss as to what's going on.
Weight hasn't changed for weapons but has for armor In TestEdit it says that weapons have.
i noticed on the description page we can edit the script so it changes lockpick weights, you mention to change it on the following lines, but you did not say which lines? Should we just add another check to that loop??
would this work if i added it...
if HasKeyword(rec, 'lockpick') then newWeight := 0.1;
can this add weight to arrows as well? i am using a mod to add weight to arrows but they show up as 0 in the UI still so i am not a fan of the mod
I am using Wet And Cold and noticed this error when running the patcher...
Failed to copy record _WetNPCEquipColdSpell [SPEL:1402538B], Exception: [1405A88B] < Error: Could not be resolved >
it was the only error out of around 28k entries so i guess that's not bad haha... i am guessing this error won't matter but if anyone has info, let me know what happened! Thanks!
What bugs me the most with Skyrim's weight is that you can melt the lighter variants of dwarven metal pieces to ingots that turn out to be heavier than the original material. Same goes for furs, armours, etc. Does this mod fix all of those "gain weight by processing" issues? Alchemy and cooking is fine because there you might be adding water too.
I LOVE this! I was searching and searching for a weight modifier that would not rename the items (I'm playing the game in German), and would not conflict with my other mods (last one I tried had the game hanging at the title screen). This took a little work, having to use TES5Edit to apply the patches, but it works beautifully! So, thank you so much for this.
About mod options for hunterborn on weight option and pelt value or ineed value/weight option to be disabled or untouched for example the potion setting on caco. Thanks.
There are options in the mcm for the mods i mentioned about value and weights for items like CACO has an mcm option for potion weights (enabled by default). Or Pelts being valuable if using the hunterborn value option. I'm wondering if its best left untouched for the TRUE experience.
I certainly remember that I disabled iNeed changes for weights, because it was breaking what TRIW achieves. About Hunterborn, I don't remember, but I also think you should disable changes for weights or prices in the Hunterborn.
I'm not sure about CACO MCM, TRIW is designed to be used with CACO, but with CACO default weights. But I would disable anything that changes what is inside the TRIW.esp file.
Light armor didn't get changed in latest version. Is there any way to change light armor weight (to be heavier)? The way it is now some clothes are heavier than light armor
yeah, I changed this to make TRIW more compatible with my new mod - Medium Armors - Total Equipment Overhaul. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/91693/? If you need old way (I can't really say it is much more realistic than how it is now, with exception of Stormcloak Armor) you must change xLightArmorCuirass to 2.0
This mod seems to render most bags and pouches useless. The small ones weigh 1 and add a bonus of 1, so it effectively adds nothing. Is that intentional? Or is it a result of CCOR nerfing the bags to start with (I think it does, anyway.)
What I did to fix this was just delete anything "Bandolier" related in my TRIW.esp via Tes5Edit. And then let CCOR handle your own Bandolier settings via MCM. Hope this helps.
I love this mod. I have a question though, would you consider it the purview of this mod to reweigh the musical instruments? The lute, drum and flute are a little heavy (4, 4, and 2 respectively). TME adjusts their value, so it makes sense to me that TRIW should be adjusting their weight down a little bit.

Don't forget CCF.
Have you thought what real weight of the items might be?
