I made a port of this mod to Special Edition for my personal use. In the process, I removed the ITM copy of Ebonyflesh that you had in there, as well as the changed left hand version. Would you mind if I uploaded this, or sent it to you so you could upload it yourself if you wanted?

Quick question: Does this mod also let you have both Dragonhide and Ebonyflesh active at once? You mention that in the base game they cancel each other out, and I can't quite tell from the description whether this mod changes that.

Looks like a great mod, will try soon!

No, havent changed that. But dragonhide provides a flat 80% reduction in damage, it's the cap in the game, wouldn't have point using the two spells at the same time. You cannot go further 80% by any means.

I mentioned it because you could use ebonyflesh all the time (300 armor) and then use Dragonhide in "special situations", but it bugged hard for me and it's annoying to have to guess when you'll need it.

Ebonyflesh adds 100-300 armor (depending on perks). Dragonhide makes you armor rating goes to 1, and every item you have to go to 0, and then reduces all the damage by a flat 80%, independent of what you use. It's a very cool and unique effect.

Adding armor points with ebonyflesh seems to cause the bug.

So, the point of the mod is to make Ebonyflesh useless, like Oak, Stone and Ironflesh, and use Dragonhide as the only mage armor spell.

That makes sense, thanks ^_^ For some reason I thought maybe it'd be good to have armor for the 20%, but I hadn't really looked into armor mechanics.

Dragonhide sets x0.2 multiplier to physical damage received, it has nothing to do with armor damage reduction.
Combining armor value given reduction with Dragonhide will net you 20% damage taken from that 20% of damage taken given by Dragonhide.
So with both effects in effect, you are taking only 4% of the original damage instead of 20%.

So yes, armor does still matter.
