What Is This?

When you draw your weapon in third person mode the camera will become fixed so that it is always behind your character. This is unlike when your weapon is sheathed and you can rotate the camera around your player. This is an SKSE plugin that will unlock the camera when your weapon is drawn in third person mode and allow more freedom of movement.

The way this works is that this enables the "animcam" mode in Skyrim which allows the mouse to rotate the camera around the character. There are new keys that will allow you to rotate the character direction since you could only strafe left and right when you just used the "animcam" console command by itself. There is also a key option to turn this mode on and off anytime to allow you to decide when to use it.

How To Use

This is a standalone SKSE plugin with no ESP or anything else required other than the INI file used to configure the settings. The INI file contains four different settings. There is an option to configure whether the new combat camera mode is enabled on startup as well as an option to configure the key to toggle it on and off. There are a couple settings to configure the rotate left and rotate right key which you will most likely need to set to use this effectively. I left these initially unset as different people may have different preferences for how they configure their control schemes. You may want to remap the strafe left/right buttons under the controls menu in Skyrim depending on how you use this. When using ranged combat with a bow or spells I suggest using the toggle key to switch this off so you can aim properly.

Permission

You can feel free to make translations, upload this to other sites, and generally share this with anyone you like without asking for permission so long as you don't try and make any money from this mod. I only ask that you make sure to give me credit for this work. You do not have permission to port this to Special Edition as this relies heavily on SKSE and I don't want to deal with complaints people may make about this not working due to the differences between the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of SKSE that someone else did not compensate for. You also do not have permission to use any part of this mod in your own mods without asking for permission first.
