Just wanted to say thanks a bunch to all the well wishers that took the time to post and for the thoughts and prayers. As an update, after two years of treatments (including stem cell replacement therapy) my cancer appears to be in remission.
Didn't know people with kids played Skyrim, eh? Not only do I have three kids, but my oldest has started playing Skyrim too. I doubt he's going to appreciate Morrowind and doesn't get "retro gaming" (the stuff I grew up on), but here's hoping he gets into Skyrim modding the same way he got into Minecraft modding. Games like these are great for fostering curiosity and dev skills.

Yes, just saw that. I have mad a port for myself nearly a year ago... then fall in the bottomless pit of The Eternal Modding My Game, and hadn't play enough since to test my conversion
Very sad to hear about your condition. My Uncle battled with brain cancer for a decade with good years and bad years. The doctors were wrong many times in how much time he had left so. . I hope they are wrong with you as well. You are in my prayers.
