Many Skyrim players, including me, hated the default sound effect, it had a cartoonish vibe and it sounded odd. This modification aims to change this weird feeling by completely overhauling the sound.

All options are customizable in the FOMOD.

  • Does not go way over the top, it is simple.
  • Much better than the cartoon sound effect in the default Skyrim game.
  • Non-intrusive, remove and reinstall at any time.
  • Fomod Installer included.

- Skyrim 1.9.32 (LATEST)

Load Order

The mod does not use LOOT load order but put it above the sneak sound modification mods in ModOrganizer.

INCOMPATIBLE with any mods that modify the sneak sound effect. To fix this, do not use sneak sound effect mods but this one.

1. Download mod using a mod manager (Try ModOrganizer)
2. Choose your options using the installer.
3. Activate.
4. Done!

1. Download Mod...
2. Extract files to *Skyrim*\Data folder from the folders in the mod.
3. Activate Mod.
4. Done! You are ready to play with much better improved Bound Weapons.

If it does not work, the mod is probably being overwritten by another mod.

1. Remove mod.
2. Done!

Will not cause any save corruption because it is just one sound file.

1. Remove old version of the mod(s)
2. Install newer version.
3. Done!

As of now, I do not have any future plans for this mod except updating it by adding more stuff that comes to mind. If you ever want something modified, feel free to leave it in the comment section and I will gladly reply.

It will probably work, who knows? Try it out for yourself.

I had found this on YouTube and decided that it should be my sneak sound. I had deepened the bass a little bit more.

How to make your own sneak sounds!

1. Get a sound from YouTube. It can be anything you want it to be.
2. Save it to your PC
3. Put the downloaded file in Audacity.
4. Edit the bass, sound, etc... You can even leave it default if you want
5. Save it as "ui_sneakattack_01.wav" - Make sure it is a .wav
6. Create a sequence of folders in this order - sound > fx > ui > <.wav>
7. Put the "ui_sneakattack_01.wav" in the "ui" folder.
8. Put the "sound" folder in your DATA folder
9. Done! You can even share the sound if you want to.
10. If you cannot follow these instructions, use my file as a template to guide you.
