Arch-Mage: Cribs Edition,
Where restoration spells are important.

So this is a recreation of my Skyrim SE mod, that itself is a recreation of an old personal use housing mod. We're getting meta up in here! While this is intentionally similar, neither version is a port of the other so there are some differences (Also, you can't actually backport SSE mods, which is annoying). They will remain separate mods for the time being, though for ease of updating I will probably start porting Oldrim to SSE once this mod adds some more advanced features, like NPCs and maybe a couple small quests.

General:
  • Wood chopping block added to the exterior
  • Added some idle markers to increase flavor
  • New unique rings to boost magical powers (require Master Perks)
  • New unique crafting station for new recipes
  • Added recipe for blank staves at any Staff Enchanter
  • Added recipes for unechanted Thalmor and Psijic clothing
  • Added recipes for unenchanted cloth hoods
  • Added recipe for unenchanted Arch-Mage Boots
  • Added recipes to uptrade soul gem types (Tied to Enchanter perk)
  • No Containers have been removed
  • All removed statics are disabled, not deleted
  • Added Artwork and redecorated just about everything

Changes to Arch-Mage's Quarters:
  • New layout!
  • Added Staff Enchanter
  • Added Smithy suite
  • Added Storage
  • More bookshelves
  • Added Display for Dragon Priest Masks
  • Added Divine shrines
  • Added direct teleport spell book
  • Added Unhooded Arch-Mage Robe with the better hooded enchant.
  • Both Arch-Mage Robes in locked case, unlockable with Arch-Mage Key or picking

Changes to Arcaneum:
  • Rearranged almost everything
  • Made study nooks with decor for specific subjects
  • Empty bookshelves to fill yourself
  • Lofted sleeping space for Urag the librarian, moved most foods to this space
  • Locked containers now tied to Arch-Mage Key (no key before), ownership tied to Arch-Mage
  • Added some idle markers
  • Tweaked lighting
  • Illusion Master quest book moved to entrance

Changes to Halls of Countenance and Attainment:
  • Rearranged many things
  • New Art!
  • Removed animal heads, standing candle holders and trashy clutter
  • More personalized rooms with study spaces, less rampant alcoholism
  • Study nooks
  • Extra unowned beds
  • Added Staff Enchanter and Mystical Fountain (Hall of Countenance)
  • Basements with kitchen, dining, lavatory and storage spaces.
  • Added some spell tomes and scrolls to the instructors' rooms with appropriate ownership flags.



-----==Issues==----
  • Clutter may remain in original position if rooms have been visited before.
  • Using the "Writing Chair" may make the player freeze in 1st person. Draw/sheathe weapons to break the lock-up.
  • The Unofficial Patch also alters Urag's sleep package. He might sleep in the dorms rather than his loft or switch between the two with USLEEP installed.

Cutting Room Floor - Get my compatibility patch!
Qaxe's Questorium - Lots of new things. Spells, zones, quests. Great mod.
Awesome Potions - Silly name, great potion replacer.

-----==Incompatibilities==-----
  • Anything that alters the College of Winterhold will have some conflicts. Big overhauls will obviously conflict the most.
  • Gear mods that use slot 58 will conflict with my rings (I'm open to using a different slot)
  • Mods that alter the unhooded Arch-Mage Robes may conflict.
  • Qaxe's Questorium - Adds some books and notes to a few rooms. Books will be in heaps. Minor conflict overall.
  • Inconsequential NPCs - Adds a few NPCs that might end up in weird positions.


-----==Future Plans==-----
  • Generally improve the decor all over. Make the college feel more magical and studious.
  • Add some NPCs to flesh out the campus
  • Tweak AI packages for better sandboxing
  • Make patches for some of the conflicting mods above.
