This is now merely a joke mod but it can be used to see which of your textures haven´t been modded yet,
or as a stupid, performance friendly texture "replacer". The unmodded textures appears purple.
A texture is considered modded when another mod contains the same texture.

My mod basically prevents the game from loading "Skyrim - Textures.bsa".

It only works for basic Skyrim, DLC textures are not affected.

This mod was created by using the "Register .bsa" method... or "unregister" in this case :)

Here is an explanation of what I mean.

I intended to make an use of this method with a little experiment:
Forcing the game to load the High Res Texture Pack and its patch without having to use their .esp files,
basically cutting down on 3 .esp files, saving some slots for other mods.
Sadly it doesn´t work like I wanted it to work:
No matter where I place my .esp, all the registered textures load first and then EVERYTHING in my loadorder would overwrite them.
For example I register some nice Dawnguard textures but then the actual Dawnguard DLC would overwrite them,
doesn´t matter if I place my .esp after the Dawnguard dlc.
