Can you spawn a dummy and train on it in a custom map in-game using console commands?
Edit: NVM tested it and work fine to spawn a dummy in any map and train on it. Also can be safely merged with other mods to save ESP. Thanks for this great mod.
Is there a possibility to just make it possible to actually attack the dummy with my spells/bow/sword and gain XP that way, rather than choose the time and then a fade out?
Late reply, but just in case anyone else got that same doubt.
The vanilla skill books work by giving you a free level-up on a single skill the first time you read them. With this mod, after that freebie, you can read those same books again (the "Study" part), by an amount of time of your choice (between one and six hours), for a variable amount of experience on said skill.
It's the only way to train certain skills that you just can't throw at a training dummy or target, like Pickpocketing or Speech.
Thank you so much for your incredible work IronDusk33. Your mods are an absolute staple of my preferred gameplay experience, and I am continually impressed by both the concepts and the execution behind your mods.
I have one small issue with Train and Study that I was hoping you could help me with. I understand that Training Fatigue is dispelled by sleeping for a certain number of hours, but I also noticed that those hours can only be completed in a SINGLE sleep -- so for example, if I must sleep 6 hours to remove fatigue, sleeping for two sessions of 3 hours will not dispel my fatigue.
This is not a major issue, and could arguably be a feature (since interrupted sleep is not always restful sleep), but I'm wondering if those naps can still count towards fatigue reduction in SOME way. It just feels odd that I can sleep for several sessions of 4 hours, for example, and still not remove my training fatigue (even though I've slept a grand total of 16 hours).
I also understand that this might be difficult to achieve depending on the mod's construction, so no worries or expectations on my end. Just thought I'd ask!
What is the formula for how much sleep is needed? I was testing and saw some weird results so I couldn't figure out what needed to be done.
Trained for 6 hours and got 120 stamina fatigue. Slept for 8 hours, which reduced the fatigue to 30. Slept another 8 hours but still had 30 fatigue. Slept a third time for 8 hours and then the fatigue went away. Weird.
Hey BB, I fixed this in the script, I think the intention was to ensure sleep over 2 hours, but in reality it was 24 * .2 = 4.8 hours minimum to register sleep.
WARNING: THIS MOD IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR PLAYERS THAT BECAME WEREWOLVES. If u train for a few hours u will get training fatigue, u can recover if u sleep. However when u wake up a message will appear: "Your beast blood prevents restful sleep", meaning that no matter how much sleep u get u will never b able to recover from the training fatigue, and u will have a missing ammount of stamina permanently.
That message is from the vanilla game, meaning that you didn't get the "Rested" effect that increases your skills faster. It has absolutely no bearing on this mod.
And, BTW, there is here on Nexus the wonderful mod "Werefolf Mastery" that allows (other a lot more things) to gain the rested effect even if you are one.
No, OP is correct; my werewolf character was similarly stuck with a missing chunk of stamina, because the required resting bonus from sleep never triggered. No matter how many hours (and then days) I slept, the debuff never vanished from my actives. Lovely mod otherwise. I had to deactivate it and load a previous save.
If I choose to train 1 hour my skill increases the same as if I train 5. I guess it's bugged or at least bugged for me, since training for 5 drains your stamina much more.
Is time supposed to advance without a wait function? I trained for 4 hours with a skillbook and people kept moving around normally and time passed almost like using the set gamehour console command.

Thanks for this great mod.
I always hate not being able to use the dummies.
