Imperial Haven

"Recently created by the Synod Council for traveling mages, craftsmen, and quartermasters on the roads, the Imperial Haven is a prototypical bunker accessible only by teleport.  Originally given to General Tullius's mages in Helgen, and later to Paratus Decimius for his artifact gathering mission, this bunker is equipped with all the storage and crafting equipment for a small army."
-- from the Tome of Justification for Useful Gaming Devices by Plymster

* Do you ever get tired of running all over your beautiful (yet not really functional) mansion, replete with running water, bathing pools, and screen after screen of loading zones?
* Are you tired of battling your way halfway down an hour-long dungeon only to have to either start dropping loot from your inventory, or sucking it up and packing out, only to travel to your home base to drop off or sell loot?
* Are you tired of rooms full of mannequins and auto-sorting containers that jug your system up or routinely crash to desktop?
* Do you crave a more spartan, simplified, yet fully functional home base built to accommodate all your crafting desires?

Imperial Haven is the salve for your player home needs all neatly tied up in a single, lore-friendly(ish) package!

What is it?
The Imperial Haven is a player home accessible only by a teleport spell, loaded with extras and designed to fit in with the Imperial theme in Skyrim.

Where is it located?
The Imperial Haven is a teleport spell book located in the Torturers Room at Helgen Keep and at the entryway at Mzulft (next to Gavros).  When you learn this spell, you're able to teleport to the Haven and back from your starting point (whether it's on the road, in a cave, in a prison, or whatever).  As long as you're not in combat or riding a horse, you should be able to teleport here.

What's in it?
Imperial Haven comes complete with storage for:
  • Weapons
  • Armor
  • Bows and Arrows
  • Blacksmithing Materials
  • Jewelry
  • Books
  • Food
  • Clothes
  • Soul Gems
  • Alchemy Ingredients
  • Potions
  • Recipes
  • Miscellaneous Items
  • Unique Items
  • Items to Sell
  • Barenziah's Stones (Finally, you no longer have to tote around two dozen stones in your inventory)

It's got crafting stations for:
  • Blacksmithing (anvil - customized to include Skyforge, Skaal, and Dawnguard capabilities)
  • Smelter (customized look)
  • Grindstone
  • Armor Workbench
  • Tanning
  • Enchanting
  • Alchemy
  • Cooking Pot
  • Oven
  • Butter Churn (to convert milk to butter)

But that's not all!  You also get:
  • Shrine of Zenithar (because it's nice to be blessed when you're selling loot)
  • Shrine of Talos (confiscated by the Empire in Helgen, which is lucky for you, Dragonborn)
  • Magical Mirror of Facechanging
  • The Imperial Guide to Free Trade (essentially the Merchant perk to make selling loot easier)
  • A fancy throne to lounge around in by the fireplace
  • Static, empty baskets to fill with bread, tomatoes, brewskies... whatever you feel like leaving around!

But Where are the Display Plaques, Bookshelves, and Mannequins?
This Player Home is designed for use, not loot display.  Personally, I love the Legacy of the Dragonborn for that, but if you want a vast labyrinth of buildings, rooms, and cubbyholes to display every trinket you collect, get another mod.

But What About Auto-Sorting?
Personally, I've always had a hard time finding mods with auto-sorting features that don't jug up my system.  I'm a cheap bastard who doesn't like to update his gaming system every year; once a decade is ideal for me.  I chose to keep this mod simple, with just a handful of features that I like/need (for example, the churn, which I use to make butter, so I can make garlic bread, which is probably the only food item that is more useful than a comparable potion).

Installation:
Manual - deposit the Imperial Haven.bsa and Imperial Haven.esp files into the Skyrim\Data directory.  Include them in your "Data Files" by checking "Imperial Haven"
Automated - Click the "Download (NMM)" button, and use the Nexus Mod Manager

Requirements:
Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and Hearthfire

Credits:
The following resource mods were used in the creation of this Player Home (they are all truly outstanding)
General Stores - meshes only
Lolicept's Resources
Oaristys' Modders Resource Pack
Blary's Ingredients Wall Art
Workable Churns

And much thanks to Darkfox127, whose tutorials were a valuable instruction set and whose mods were a tremendous inspiration.  (You'll find his mods scattered around NexusMods, but I especially liked the Riverside Shack.)

Permissions:
The script for the churn that I have used belongs to Omeletter's Workable Churn's Mod, so get his permission first if you want to use the churn.  Otherwise, feel free to use this mod as you like as long as you're not charging for it.
