-I've removed the DIY ENB Shine Fix and NerevarII has created a new ASO ENB page for us. Our enbseries.ini for Tetrachromatic ENB is there as "Specularity Fix for ASO Pixar"
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/82360?
-If you can use ENB, I highly recommend using Tetrachromatic ENB and that fix until we can make our own presets.
-For those who can't use ENB, I've uploaded an optional file called "Normal Specuarity Fix" install it by overwriting any of our flavours. This fix will get rid of the shininess without ENB, but makes some things look a bit odd. I believe the ENB fix for this is superior.
-There is now a changelog for Pixar. I'll add to it whenever I upload an update.
-I have uploaded the MSN Skin Normals from my Oil flavour as an optional download to be used with Basic and Pixar, this will get rid of the color changing skin problem that has been plaguing this mod since the beginning, but will also remove the "flat" look characters have. (Literally no one has complained about this...but it has been driving me crazy, lol) If you use it, install it after Basic or Pixar and let it overwrite those files.
-I have made the Basic and Pixar water textures work in Special Edition and uploaded it as an optional file.
Q and A:
Q: Is there a performance boost with this mod? A: Using the Basic Toon flavour without an ENB could, theoretically, save you a few FPS depending on your system. All other flavours are vanilla resolution and should not have any impact either way.
Q:Will this be coming to/does this work with Special Edition? A:The texture replacers do work with SSE. If we add any plugin files in the future, they may need conversion.
EDIT: I have decided to start working on a SSE specific version of Pixar (and only Pixar) it will use the same texture files I have made for Classic Skyrim and I'll be making new versions of the SSE spec maps so that ENB isn't required to reduce shiny-ness. It will be loose files because I am unable to run SSE CK. Once it is up on the SSE Nexus I will invite whoever can to port it to the official Bethesda console mod site.
Q:Will this be coming to consoles? A:Hard to say at this time. I would like to port it eventually, but not until the bulk of the work is complete.
Q:Is this compatible with X? A:This will technically be compatible with anything that isn't also a texture replacer. If a mod you have adds new items with their own textures, this mod won't touch them unless you use one of our patches (we need both permission from other mod authors and time to create patches, not all mods will be possible)
Q:Why doesn't my game look as good as your screenshots/video? A:We used ENB in our videos and screenshots. This mod is going to look it's best with the post processing power that ENB provides. If you can't run ENB it just isn't going to look very good, sadly.
Question: Why loose files, don't you know BSAs are more efficient and performance friendly?
Answer: Are they, though? Do you have definitive proof of this? My performance doesn't seem hindered in any way with loose files. Either way, it is currently only loose files during the development process. Once a flavour is considered complete I will consider uploading a BSA version in addition to the Loose File version. Loose Files will continue to be my preferred version for the customizability of it.
I am no longer working on this mod as it has grown beyond my skills. Bluestar is still working on the Paint flavour and a new ENB preset. Also, some other Nexus users are working on patches for Pixar. I have no info on release dates for these, but info will be released as I receive it from the team.
Please, finish your job!!! Your textures are way better than kanjs' ones. Your textures are soft, smooth like a painting.
Please, finish your work and replace those solid color textures you've used, replace them with custom ones! You've used a lot of them solid color textures, you know that. Not only they are worse than any custom 'painted' texture as they lack any detail. They weigh a lot as many of them are in pretty high resolution which doesn't make any sense.
I know it doesnt complete, we have some visual bugs, BUT its still BEST GRAPHIC MOD I EVEN DREAMED! I met tons of problem - cant use tons of custom armor/weapon replacers etc cuz textures, i cant use ENB cuz low end PC - tired to find best analogy mods (ENB), due to visual bugs n not complete things i combined few presets of this mod by MO2 etc etc. I can sacrifice all this for THIS EXPERIENCE. I just cant play without it already. Big thanks to guys who created it and continue to fix it. Its my default textures since i touched it. P.S. im using Surreal Lightning + Imaginator (it close to ENB on the pictures) or u can use some SweetFX preset but it bugs for me by some reason, I could use just some ENB+SweetFX option which i got from some developer on this site. It decrease my fps not so much as ENB. But due to easy using (i really dont understand how to option sweetFX all options - too difficult for me) i start to use Surreal Lighning + Imaginator. Endorsed!
Hi uh, I have a problem with skin lighting.. :D when I am facing light it looks ok but when I am in shadow my+npc skins are black af, I can't see diffrences between Nord and Redguard.
Yes, this was an issue we couldn't really fix without using an ENB. There is an optional file called "ASO Alternate Skin Normals for Basic and Pixar" that will change the normal maps and get rid of this issue, but also changes how characters look quite drastically. Options are to either use that file or use an ENB.
can anybody tell me how he changed the textures like this what programs did he use i remember him having some info up about that but now can't find it anywhere
I mainly used Photoshop CS6 and the Nvidia .dds add-on for it. But you can also use something like Gimp or another free image editor with .dds functionality.

I am using the paint version.
Same problem with pixar.
