    Really cool looking mod!

Q: Is there cost to using the traveling? Like, is it instantaneous? I know for mods that add hunger/tired/thirsty content (like Frostfall), it's possible to have those resources decline while using things like carts. It's part of the cost, for those systems, since that travel takes time. Would these "magical"/Dwemer doors just be instant?

Another example is SWIFT http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/64201/ which lets you set a cost, like "soul points", so you have to send the power of souls you've collected in soul gems. You can also turn on a temporary debuff for after you travel, as part of the cost, as well. That's how they are balancing the benefit of their mod. Both SWIFT and Blackreach Railroad (a similarly themed mod like yours) have quests that you have to do before unlocking all of their abilities, as well.

I guess carts cost money, too?

I really LOVE the idea of this mod, and that you're thinking of a cool way to give us a fast-travel alternative, that's pretty lore friendly. Please don't take my question as a put down, more of a constructive idea? Maybe you'd have to pay in dwarven ingots to make the machines work correctly? Or just any Dwarven scrap? Like, you're feeding the machine the raw resources it needs to keep it going. You could pull a trick from SWIFT and have a pool of "Dwarven repair metal". You could sacrifice a bit of Dwarven metal made item, or raw materials, to earn points, that you would then spend when you "repair" a bit of each machine's parts to "make it run"? (The more I write that, the more I like it, TBH)

Anyways, TL'DR Thanks!!, and just a quick idea on possible balance? (With other popular travel mods, at least)

Sorry for the (very) late reply, but yes it is instant with no cost. However in most cases you have to clear entire Dwemer ruins before you can get anywhere useful, and many of those are locked until you start a related quest. I've placed most of the doors so that if you try to enter a dungeon you haven't already visited you immediately hit a dead end. Even once you've cleared a ruin it can take several minutes to get anywhere, simply because of the dungeon layouts and having to cross Blackreach on most journeys, so I figured it's actually fairly balanced already. I haven't measured the times, but I think it would be roughly equivalent to just walking on the surface, if the surface had no mountains or random enemy encounters,

I suppose it's a bit too short a journey from Tel Mithryn to the College of Winterhold (walk to Nchardak, climb up the outside, lift to the hub, portal to Blackreach, up a few stairs, door to Temple of Xrib, lift, exit the cave and walk to Winterhold) with 5 load doors in quick succession and under 5 minutes walk. The reverse journey requires you to have cleared Sightless Pit, and know where the back entrance is.

I like the ideas, but this is the first and so far only mod I have made. I would have to spend quite a bit of time working out how to do any of those things.
