If you do a reset and you still have the magic effect from an affinity then your save is bugged. There is no guaranteed fix. You can try just resetting one tree and then the full set to trigger it to recalculate. Or you could reset all, then apply enough to get the same one you're stuck on then leave Akropolis to trigger the calculation then reset again. This happens due to some changes made to the scripts by the Enderal team and the updates between versions sometimes get bugged out.
Sometimes when applying a memory point you do not get the message that you applied a point. This is an engine bug not from this mod. It's due to a script property getting messed up. I noticed it happened frequently if I kept quick reloading without exiting the game. If a save was created after the property was damaged there is no way to fix it. It does appear that the memories are correctly applied and you will still get any perks, shouts, and affinity related. You just won't get the message showing that you used a point and how many remain.

The v3.0 release adds support for the 2 new skill lines of memories. See FAQ #5 for special concerns about them. I posted it labeled as BETA as I only did simple testing to make sure the visual resets were working. I didn't get to play and actually try to use any of the skills. So if you run into problems post a comment or bug report and I'll try to look into it as best I can.
yo peeps i dragged the esp and the other file to the data folder and i see it in the launcher when i try to get in the game but as soon as i mark with V this mod the game wont start... (got skyrim special edition) any suggestions?
yo so I am suffering from the same memory issue that has come up in the past, i didn't realize it was a problem until now like 20 hours later into the game, is there any way to salvage my phasmalist tree?
EDIT: This mod works fine for me mid-playthrough. The reason for the stuff I wrote below is because I had forgotten to check the .esp's box in the Enderal "Data Files" launcher menu. I almost never install mods manually so I totally forgot about that step.
Hi, I put the .bsa and .esp into my Enderal data folder but when I go the meditation area I don't see the statue there.
I am using Enderal forgotten stories steam version with the latest patch. I am using this on an existing save though, will this mod only work on a new game? I know you said "recommended new game" but I wasn't sure if this is a requirement or just a recommendation.

edit: nevermind, the version is older than the game... my fault lol
If you're manually installing you have to add the .bsa to your .ini file, otherwise the game won't load it. The version differences shouldn't break it.
FYI or for others unfamiliar with manual modding: To do the .bsa thing, literally go find the line in "enderal-default.ini" text file that has "Skyrim.bsa" and other similar files listed, and add the exact name of the mod's .bsa file to the end of the list after a comma - make a backup copy of the file before you change anything, then make the change I mentioned and save over the original file. That way you don't have to worry about breaking your game if you mess it up, you can always revert to the backup copy. It's surprisingly easy- this is what is called "bsa registration".
Couldn't get it to work with the last patch (1.5.4.0); the angel statue don't shows up. Am I doing something wrong or the mod doesn't work with this patch?
I'm using MO2 (no clue if you need this information).
Edit: Nevermind, for some reason MO2 wasn't working. Installed Vortex and now the mod works just fine. Awesome mod, thank you very much for the work.
I havn't played enough to have the same problems as everyone else. But on one of my saves after I've installed this mod, my fast travel mod (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1659546634) seems to no longer work. It only seems to affect one of my saves (which was the only save I loaded after i activated this mod) which was saved before using the shrine.
is there any chance we could get a version supporting the gameplay overhaul, it lowers your base stats to 5 instead of 15, but if you reset your stats they all get set back to 15
