saw this after i completed the quest and yes my trackball is not efficient when timed, wanted to mention the alternative to this mod is to console command, set stage MQ02 60,then 70 then 80. After that the bars of the dwarven gate need to be clicked individually and console command type , disable. Good idea for the mod
if you accidently disable yourself or your follower, you should console command -enable, right away before you point at any other object
Update: this method seems to keep yero s diary, a quest item , not removed from your inventory , its weightless but i think it should be removed from inventory during sticks quiz or when you meet jasper just before he takes you here
Thank you so much! I tried installing this file manually because I can't do these sorts of puzzles. It didn't work right or I didn't install it correctly, then even uninstalling and reinstalling Endaral wouldn't let me interact with the keyholes at all! But at least by following your suggestions I was able to advance the plot and disable the gate. Again, thanks so much! Thought I might have to abandon the game!
Doesn't work any more, and probably is no longer needed. When I played Enderal originally, it was newly released, and this task was not easy, since I prefer to play with a controller. I just started playing again, now that Forgotten Stories is released, and this script failed. You cannot interact with the activators at all with these scripts active. I uninstalled, and had no problem completing the task without a mod.
Not so much timing was for me more if you do them in a certain order it worked start with the one furthest away then the two top then drop down for the two bottom ones. But admirable mod anyway
I'm surprised by this mod too, I had no problem doing it at all. I just checked where they all are and chose the most efficient order, same as yours that is.
Personally, I had a problem with targeting. It might depend on my potato PC or possible on the trackball I'm using, not sure, but heard it mentioned by others too. I actually managed to do it in the end, but found it unnecessary frustrating.
This type of puzzle can be a lot harder with a controller. I had to switch to keyboard and mouse to do it (no problem then). if I play the game again I will probably use this.
