MEH! I can't get this to work either. I dunno, 8000 hours of working with a heavily modded Skyrim and this doesn't work for me. Seemed so simple.... boo.
Install manually. It's loose animation files, so there's nothing that can go wrong, other than overwriting something. Back up anything it wants to overwrite in case you want to revert it.
If it still isn't working, you have a conflict somewhere, though manual installing should prevent that.
Well, the first person animations are actually in a completely different folder than 3rd person, therefore work separately from each other, so to do what you want, someone would have to make something like the "Joy of Perspective", of which the modder has disappeared.
You mean the vanilla animation? Just exclude out the corresponding hkx files from this mod, then you'll get it. Check the videos for figuring out which ones you don't want to be replaced.
This is by far the closest thing I've seen to a proper animation for unarmed attacks, but I still can't use it.
There is a noticable time gap between the end of the punch animation and the npc registering a hit. Unless it's possible to edit the animations so the punch attack is synchronised with the impact, it's too distracting to use. This is a damned shame, as the animations are so much better than vanilla. What the hell were Bethesda thinking throwing these out in favour of the drunken ape swings they used instead?
the speed delay between the animation and the hitbox is really holding this mod back, it's such a shame because those animations are a lot better than the sluggish H2H we've got in vanilla.
I don't know anything about animation, but wouldnt it be possible to slow them down slightly?
