Had that yesterday, couldn't resolve it. Only solution I found searching the forums was this:
Uninstall MO2 and reinstall everything (MO2 and mods). Took me less than an hour (70 mods) as I saved the download folder in the MO2 directory.

Sooo i've been using this since my entire playthrough of Enderal SE, i used TUDM SkySA, and weapon animations recommended in SkySA, at first nothing was broken, the first calia transformation went okay but when i had to reload it kinda broke so i thought that was just a small issue, at some point i decided to install sekiro combat and a few other mods such as Vanguard, Wildcat, and things like that, and when the scene with calia at the airship everything went to hell, the cutscene didn't play, and i am now stuck to the ground, i tried like closing a few of the mods but nothing seems to be working correctly, anyone has a similar issue???

Hello, I am hoping someone can help me. I am following this guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/enderal/comments/kvtkmg/enderal_how_to_setting_up_nemesis_behavior_engine/

To try and get Nemesis to work with Enderal Se. Everything works fine except for Enderal's unique animations (for example the fight between Calia and Karek). I believe it has something to do with the FNIS.esp that Nemesis is supposed to create. For some reason, it is not creating it for me. In the guide it mentions that if FNIS.esp is not being generated then I didn't install the Enderal FNIS patch correctly. I'm really at a loss now...

Same here, haven't been able so solve this problem.. For me the Calia & Karek anims as well as romance anims are broken. Everything else is fine though.

Yeah, I need a follow-up on this. There's a Behaviors Pack included on the Enderal SE Nexus page, but even that doesn't seem to resolve the issue.

if anyone is still trying to find a fix, i had the same issue and fixed it by manually installing nemesis (without the use of mod organizer) by extracting the contents to the enderal data folder, and then running the nemesis executable through mod organizer

The only ''solution'' i found is just run FNIS over Nemesis can fix the animation. so the only option is switching between FNIS and Nemesis if you want to see the animation scene correctly.
I tried use both FNIS Nemesis but won't fix the animation, that its seem Nemesis causing the animation not work properly...

not only does it work with Enderal SE, it also allows you to use Nemesis mods like SkySA without breaking the pipe smoking! I dunno about the smooches at the end of the romantic questlines tho, don't really have a convenient way to test that.

      @Zarex08

Be sure to unpack the meshes BSA that contain the animations and put those as loose files in your data folder before running FNIS.  I do not think FNIS can read animation files that are in a BSA.

I followed the instructions from user Elysoto a few pages back and never had trouble with animations afterwards.

"This worked for me using Forgotten Stories.
I extracted the BSA E - Meshes.bsa and extracted all from
      meshes\actors\character\animations\enderal and
      meshes\actors\character\animations\pipesmoking for good measure.
      I installed XPMSE, FNIS, RaceMenu.
Then ran GenerateFNISforUsers.exe with the SKELETONS patch enabled."

The animations needed for the FNIS message "missing animations blabla" to disappear are all in the "EEN - Meshes.bsa" in the Enderal data folder.

You need to extract "data/meshes/actors/character/animations" and put them in a folder inside the MO mods folder. Keep the directory structure and don't forget to create a folder on top of it all so that MO recognizes the files.

Be sure to add the loose anim files in the data/meshes folder of the game to the above mentioned extracted folders. Overwrite where necessary.

You'll still get an "duplicate anim event" message. Don't know what to do about that yet.

Of course you'll have to make sure to manually update the animations files in MO that each time SureAI updates the game...

I wish they had left out the fucking pipesmoking. If you just have all the other animations without the pipesmoking, FNIS reports no error at all.

Thank you, wise one Do you have any idea what sort of limitations not doing this has caused? I mean, are those error messages significant?

      I'm actually not wise enough...

In my case - with just this patch here installed, without the extracted animation files - some cut scenes were not playing correctly.

      Spoiler:
      Show
Calias raging fit in Alt Dothulgrad. She was just standing there turning black, and the bandit also was not moving at all, then the cut scene was over.

In case of multiple cutscenes this can cause glitches. Another example:

      Spoiler:
      Show
After the initiation ritual to become a member of the order and the ensuing nightmare in the curarium my charactrer woke up and there was no chest to retrieve my personal belongings. I could have the conversation with Calia, and whenever I tried to take a walk with her around the Sun Temple, she told me to first grab my stuff before we go. So I was stuck.

Concerning the "duplicate animation events" - I'm not quite sure what this may cause, if anything at all. It is just a consistency flaw and not reported as an actual warning, so my unsophisticated guess is that it's not that serious. Now with the extracted files, my gameplay is smoother.

      Hope I could help.

EDIT: I just thought it might be helpful if I uploaded the necessary files for Mod Organizer users to avoid the FNIS "missing animation files" error message:

      http://uploaded.net/file/bafs2ixj

LegendDarkness97's patch is included in my file. You will still get the above mentioned "duplicate anim events" message, which I guess is less severe than missing animation files.

There seems to be a prob with FNIS not properly recognizing animation files in BSAs when started from within Mod Organizer. Don't know if the glitch is on MO or FNISs side, and I'm not taking sides for any of them, I'm just letting you know my experiences.

I didn't make it a mod of my own on the Nexus because LegendDarkness97 had the original idea. Sorry for the uploaded.to-file though, but I knew no other reliable hoster right off the cuff.

@Nexus team: I hope the link is ok. If not, please inform me. Thank you.

Hi ratrace, thank you so much for the advice. The only thing I want to add, is that you need to extract the file "meshes\actors\werewolfbeast\animations\ww_howlforward.hkx". Otherwise the werewolf you'll face during the playthrough (one of the side quests, don't want to spoil) will not move from it's transformation place.
Probably there will be some problems with werewolf player form as well, but I don't know for sure.

I also had TKDodge and UltimateCombat enabled since I was trying to get those working nicely with the StepDodge option.

So will this allow me to use mods that require FNIS such as animated armory, or maybe SKyrim Spear Mechanic?

I get stuck smoking a pipe if using a controller. If I start smoking without the controller on I can use the keyboard no problem. If I start smoking with the controller on I can't get out of it even if I turn it off and then try to use the keyboard. I can console "enableplayercontrol" to jump out of it with the controller but the smoke and pipe don't go away. any ideas?

It seems XPMSE installer includes Enderal patch since v3.90. Nevermind, I guess XPMSE has a patch, and FNIS also has a patch (this mod).

I've tried with XPMSE patch only, and it seems that scences like at the boat where your friend get slain, or other scenes which I will not mention because of spoilers. Seems to have 0 fightning animations without this mod. Ofc, there might be various reasons for this error. But just a headsup for people who gets moving charaters, scripted blood spilling and etc. But no actual swordfights.
