OK. I have Apachii Skyhair installed and this mod. I understand the question about no clipping. My question is this - I am using Apachii hair 13, that is, when you are creating a new character this hair style is the 13th one. It is sort of a super long, very heavy ponytail. When her head moves right or left the hair moves, but when she bends over, instead of the hair draping over her shoulders it just lies along her back. Is this what should be happening? Of course, IRL the hair would either spread out across her back or drape over one or both shoulders depending on how far she is bent over. Is this mod supposed to allow the hair to behave in a similar fashion? I understand that particular behavior may not have been addressed in this mod's scope, I'm just trying to determine if there is something not working in my playthrough.
I is confused. Main page keeps pointing to the Full Bounce Kit. Its own description says "Legacy Optional File for NON-Bodyslide HDT Users, Note contains Human/Elf head and XML for Full Bounce Effects of Body". It's unclear what this means: 1) You can't use it if you have Bodyslide installed at all? 2) You don't need it if you have BS installed? 3) You can't use it if you used BS to generate your player character this time around? 4) You don't need it if you used BS to gen your char this time? 5) Something else entirely?
Side question: Can the head in the Full Bounce Kit be used to patch followers to have the effect with these hairs? I don't mind using TES5Edit to tell them to use a specific head file (I'm new to Skyrim, building out my first mod pile, but know what I'm doing in TES4Edit, so I can handle it, if it'll actually work).
I'm trying to replace Ria's hair from Bijin Warmaidens. Purely overwriting K's Hair in the load order doesn't work. I replaced the Hair nif files in Ria's hair folder within Bijin Warmaidens, but I still get clipping. Am I supposed to edit her hair files in CK too, and Ctrl F4 her head?
Looks great, but when I replace the file hdtPhysicsExtensionsDefaultBBP.xml from your Full Bounce Kit I lost the HDT breast effect on women and nothing works, What I'm missing ?
Seems to be working for the most part. I have noticed that meshes\ApachiiHairFemale\Khajiit\Khajiit_HairlineCazyNoHat.nif seem to move somewhat with the breasts but still clips. It may be that the weight painting just isn't heavy enough. This mesh is also pretty long so it may also benefit from weighting to the belly.
This simply attaches Breast Weight Paint nodes to the hair. The resulting effect is that the hair at breast level moves.
IF using a HDT Body such as those found in Bodyslide the hair wont clip with the breast, it will move with the breast.
If your not using a body with breast weight paints and you install full bounce kit the hair that is at breast level will move.
The main point of the modification of adding breast weight paints to the hair is to tone down or even eliminate hair clipping with the body. As many already know static long hairs will clip with the body.
I know people still have a hard time understanding that its a modification that has rung a chord with a great deal of people to give you an idea of how popular it is well... If lets say 26,000 people play Skyrim on a dailey basis..... And the KSHairdo's-Renewal Breast weight painted hair modification has 10,000 unique downloads well that simply means that about over 1/3 of all active Skyrim players use that mod.
The point being that quite a few people believe that the mod was in fact worth while in some way for uh well using.
No, Apachii Hair is separate from The Hairstyler. What that mod does is allow the player to easily change the players and other NPCs hair with various Apachii hairdos.
Will this keep the Apachii hair from clipping other places besides boobs, such as armor, collars, greatswords, etc...? I use CBBE slim, so boob clipping is not really a problem. but those other items definitely pose problems.
This mod adds breast bones and the needed weight paint to the hair meshes so they won't clip with breast bones enabled armor and body replacers (no hair sticking through the boobs).
Look there are a lot of reasons why it wont work, I could make a huge list and people will still post here saying it don't work.
Do you have HDT file installed?
IF not why not install the bounce pack I put in options?
IF your using a unique race, packaged followers, specially packaged heads than the issue is you have to overwrite that head mesh and also you didn't read known issues.
I cant be held responsible for putting instructions for every possible set up and there most certainly will be issues for people that are not familiar with what they have installed on their own computer. Sorry but that's kinda how it is.
Your going to have to really look and see.
I know that the purpose of the file is almost or well rather is a totally new concept that will take time for the community to adjust too as they adept it for new works either by tweaking their femalehead.nif and by calling on ApachiiSkyhair as a Masterfile.
Its really new and people seem to be coming around to the idea but it takes time.

So possibly it would work.
