Dragonia is an estate player-home that offers many features that I hope you will enjoy.  Please take a good look at the Description Page as it will give the info you need to decide if this mod is for you as well as info you will want to have as you explore Dragonia's features.

Use this POSTs section for general comments.  If you encounter "bugs" or problems, please do use the BUGS Tab Here which is the best place for me to quickly look at and address issues.

Dragonia is 20 months in the making.  I hope you enjoy playing with it as much as I've enjoyed making it.

    DRAGONIA SSE Announcement:

To let those interested know, I'm working on a new version of DRAGONIA for Special Edition which will include a complete re-build of the player house and additional tweaks to the overall mod based on things I've learned in modding since the original creation.   Based on feedback from those who played original DRAGONIA, this version will include family and follower options in one mod and within the main player home.

Look forward to the completion and release and hope DRAGONIA players like the new version.

Hi NexBeth. I just read the sticky you posted and all I can say is... Yes! My favorite home is getting a SSE release! I have a few questions.

Do you have any pictures of the new imagining of Dragonia?

Will it be compatible wih AE (1.1.640/GOG)?

Thank you for posting your interest in the SSE version of Dragonia.  I finished the rebuild of the main house interior just this week but still will be doing a good deal of scrutiny to make sure everything is working and looks right.  I think I accomplished my goal which was to remodel the existing home AND keep the look and feel of the original.

I don't know if I'll post pictures until it is all completed, but there will be new pictures on the description page once the mod is released. There will be minor tweaks to the exterior, but not major changes.  Other interior cells will also be looked at for some tweaks here and there and I'll have to do a bit of tweaking on NPC AI packages to accommodate the rebuild as well as make the home family and adoption ready.

There shouldn't be any compatibility issues.  I didn't include any of the CC assets in the mod, but we all got the latest update last year so I've been working with that version.

You're welcome NexBeth. I have one more question. Will the Player's bedroom have a door? I know it's small but I used Jaxonz Positioner to place a door to the bedroom. That was really the only problem I had about the house, was that. The master bedroom didn't feel private without a door.

So what exactly are doing that requires such privacy?  Hmm....

Anyhow, I've played with the idea, do or don't.  There are actually 2 entrances to the BR now.  One has a door, and it leads from the bedroom to the new addition of a player's arcane lab with 3 workstations.  I'll continue to think on the entrance at the steps in to the bedroom.  Just concerned with ecstatics and too many doors opening and closing.

Oh a bit of this and a bit of that.

Hmm, maybe a door in the bedroom could be replaced with a beautiful doorway curtain/drape. Just an idea, but what you're doing sounds good so far. I can't wait to see the finished house.

I've installed a double door.  It requires the player to close it so, once opened, it is fairly unobtrusive.

I like it. The double door is a nice touch and good idea having it where the player closes it. Just thinking abut it, I have another question. Will the toilets (Preferably the player's toilet) function like in Morskom Estate? It's a funny feature but it's somewhat immersive, if not that's fine.

Edited my post a little since I was sleepy when I typed it.

LOL if nexbeth adds them farting sounds to the toilets from morskom, i'm gonna make that my base of operations. i doubt nex will do it though.

Yea at first it would be funny to me, but now i'm thinking not a good idea... That sound will start to annoy me and i'll forget that the toilets do that, causing me to hate the house afterwards in the few moments i'm in the garderobe lol. I think having interactive sinks and a simple flush function would be cool. So few houses include toilets or latrines. JK's Whiterun Outskirts have them, which is cool.

I had a modern toilet installed in Riverwood Falls, which was kinda fun (minus the unpleasant sound effects).  But in reality medieval times plumbing had holes in the ground for toilets, or privies over a water source.  No flushing.  I installed old-fashioned (dump water in the toilet to get it to go down) toilets for Dragonia.  There are some NPC showers though and bathing pools.  Player bath is controlled by player.  Also working sinks in main house.

Cloud storage and linked.  Linked if you want things in individual containers for more detailed immersion (like Elysium Estate) and Cloud where you can just dump everything.  The cloud will have access points in each Hold capital and in the main house.  That way you can drop off stuff in the cloud without returning to the House and your stuff will be available at all access points.

Yeah, simple conversion didn't work for me either.  I attempted it in 2016 when SSE first came out, but alas it was not so easy.  A good many of the custom assets from Skyrim just wouldn't play nice; but eventually got them working.

Release should be this year.  Can't say exactly when yet.

I guess you never got around to an SSE version? I'll try to port it for my own use, but I have about 50/50 luck with making homes work properly. It looks so beautiful, I need to try, though!

I would suggest you not try to port it.  It will be very difficult unless you are prepared for a great deal of trouble-shooting.  I have a new house mod out now on SSE.  Perhaps you will like that one.

I'm sad that this won't get ported to SSE. I looked at the other house you made for SSE, it's pretty, and your creativity for medium/large homes is commendable, but I love the location and view of this one! I also love that it looks like a giant Hjerim (Which is my favorite house in vanilla Skyrim).

I haven't closed the door on publishing this to SSE.  Right now though, I've spent 6 solid yrs working on the two mods most of my free time and its time for a break.  Dragonia needs a lot of work before porting, which I have worked on.  Many of the old custom meshes wouldn't port to SSE so I had to work on them individually.  There are also other things that needs to get done that is time consuming.  And it is actually 2 separate versions so I'd have to work on both.

I'd have say I agree that Dragonia has one of the best locations in Skyrim for a house mod! Looking beyond the mountain vista, you can see a dragon circling off in the distance and when you got a dragon attack at the estate, it too would circle off the mountain.  It does look even better in SSE too with its enhanced lighting.

    Hi NexBeth,
I don't know if you're still checking out the postings here at Old Rim for your Dragonia house mod;but I thought I'd post here on it anyway just in case.
I was without my computer for awhile when my motherboard failed; so I'm just getting back into playing Old Rim.
I downloaded and installed Dragonia and Loved it!
I was looking for something Very Specific for a Nature Loving character and after checking out Many,Many house mods of All Types;I Finally found Dragonia!!
This Place is Amazing! Beautifull,Impressive work! I Loved Every section of this wonderfull Home!
It's so Very Impressive, beyond compare ,even your back stories were very well done and thoughtfull. Everthing worked just fine for me! I used to always use the Elysium Estate; but found it's weapon and armor displays were not large enough for me. Your Dragonia Will easily Replace it,hands down!
I did notice one thing though. One of your NPC's didnot sleep in their bed and that left the bed open and unused All night. Now this isn't a problem,I could care less over that, but it does give me a bridge to the one thing I wonder if you could Add, or adjust to this Spectaculiar house mod.
You see I use AFT (amazing Follower Tweaks for those who don't know) and Several Custom Voice Acted Unique Followers, such as the well known purple kitty Inigo, the much harrrangued and voice teased Vilja, and not to be forgotten the beautifull and so often over looked Mrissi mods. So as you can see; I and propably a few others would really appreciate it if you could maybe add a button, or control switch which could turn off some of your Followers,or All of them whichever would be easier and less time consuming for you, or if you could add an option without them and their beds set as simple sleep beds for our preferred followers.
I know some people will point out that I could just Remove them myself, but I'm Completely Lost in the scripting process when making mods. I also know and readily Admit as well as Heartly Thank You for a job Done Right; that if someone who Doesn't know what their doing can Utterly Break and Destory your wonderfull mod! You set up your beds Perfectly and I love the the textures and All of the Work you've done in this mod! I'm Simply asking for a way to bring in a few highly custom Npc's to live in Dragonia with me and my family. As is now in Old Rim Legendary Edition there is only 2 beds open for my Favored Companions and I usually Use a few more than that.
Thank You For All of the time you put Into this Amazing House, and your Incredible,Amazing Work!

Thanks, Karen for you kind comments. Glad Dragonia is so well received by most people trying it out. It is a very big house mod that does take up some space on the PC HD making it a bit hard for some players to try it out.

All of the NPCs should sleep in their beds unless you marry one of the two that are eligibility for marriage. Sometimes, if you are fast traveling to the home, then it may be that you catch an NPC off their schedule due to the game-time speed being manipulated for fast traveling. In any case, I'm hard at work on another house mod that I'm hoping will be getting out soon for SSE and won't be making changes to this mod at this time. Also, I'm not a scripter so implementing what you suggest is not within my skill-set. I wish it was! If only I could script the possibilities would be endless...

But if you want to make those beds available you can do it wo scripting. Just remove the AI packages to the NPC which tells them to sleep there, then remove the reference to the NPC ownership of the bed. Pretty easy if you want to do it.

      Wow, good comment!!!
I am looking for the biggest player house in Oldrim mods, one that you have:
      -The bed a King needs
-Sufficient manequims to put all vanilla armours and sufficient plaques to put all vanilla weapons (everything organized)
-Book cases to put all the normal books and special cases to put all remarkable and interesting books
-Display to all unique items you can have in the end, and etc
-Nothing like Dragonborn Museum, because Legacy of Dragonborn adds lots of unique items, and I enjoy vanilla items, still I don't enjoy vanilla structures... I hope you understand what I'm saying.
Sheyane, and NexBeth, do you recommend this Dragonia mod for me? What other player "house" mods can you recommend? I don't care if there is NPCs and missions there...
Sorry for my strange english. Thank you all! Cheers from Brazil!!!

It's up to you.  I think it is probably the largest house mod for Skyrim.  All the files are in a single BSA  as well as the ESP.  Basically 2 files, so it is easy to remove if the mod isn't to your liking.  One thing about this place....it is located in the best location for Skyrim player home.  Absolutely the best view.

Thank you very much copticprincess. I actually worked on that. It has a lot of assets that had to be transferred and changed over to sse, some of which was a bit troublesome but I've actually done that but then started to play with this and that extras kinda stuff. In the meantime been working on a massive new house mod bigger than Dragonia so they are both on the working it list but Dragonia has taken a backseat to the new project. I hope you'll keep an eye out for the new manor (and all of its extra features and places) associated with Bleak Falls Barrow. I still want to finish up Dragonia SSE too.

I'm assuming you have this mod installed? I've never heard of it. The house inventories only have items I've originally placed, none from that mod. Then, if you use the inventory, then it will also have items you've placed. If you sell items from other mods to a vendor, then those items will appear in their inventories.

I was in awe while watching this video. I said, "Finally, the perfect house in Skyrim for me!". Even adoption friendly? "I have to have this mod!", I said. Then I went to download it and read the description for the adoption friendly version that says it only works for 3 children. That's where you lost me. I use multiple adoptions and adopt 6 children every playthrough. I was so disappointed I can't use this mod. Mphh! Beautiful work though.

    Hey there NexBeth,
Dragonia is an awesome piece of art, thanks. I think I found a bug though. When putting a dragon priest mask on its display, then pulling it off back into inventory, the mask vanishes, it is removed from existance, that is, all masks except the Wooden Mask and Konahriks Mask. Which, by the way, have sound applied when putting those two masks on display or pulling it off display. There is no sound applied when any other mask is put on display. I am replicating the instance consistently over unmodded, somewhat modded and heavily modded profiles in MO. I definitely thought it to be on my playthroughs but the sound thing is what really brought up a flag. I do hope that I am missing something but.....
Thanks so much for all !

That sound you are hearing is tied to the vanilla script. When all 8 vanilla masks from the original game are placed on their pedestals in Bromjunaar Sanctuary , the little sound goes off to signify that all eight masks are placed. With Dragonia you have the option to place DLC masks as well as Clavicus Vile's mask and the Wooden. I haven't heard of this issue from anyone else, but I'll test it. Tell me which version of Dragonia you are using--adoption or non-adoption? Did you download the most recent download?

UPDATE: dirvish: I went ahead and tested both versions of my mods which were the ones uploaded here on Nexus and I can't replicate the problem. Also, never exp this issue during the testing phase of this mod and I did a lot of testing on all the item placement pieces. Is it possible that you have downloaded another mod that has the same scripts I used (that were named the same)? This would be in another house mod with displays? There may be a conflict there. Which is a very good reason for renaming scripts with unique names.

many's the time that i've been forced to choose between mods...but none so achingly disheartening than now!
i have the mod, Reapers Witchwood Forest and Cabin by reaper9111
    https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30522/?

incredibly cool mod. one of the few that gives a creepy horror twinge to the game. not huge. a decent sized forest, tiny player cabin (with freaky cool demon dog follower inside), and group of cultist that attack you, from a cave i think, graveyard skeletons ect. but the damn thing is smack dab on this prime real estate spot! i didn't even know what a beautiful view this spot has because when i'm in that forest, the gnarled trees are so thick, they block the sun.

i don't even have a choice really. Wicthwood is inside a huuuge merge i made. couldn't even rebuild it if i wanted, as it has mods in it that aren't even available anymore. plus i'm midplaythru. rebuilding that midgame would destroy a save. so gotta keep Witchy. but breaks my heart more than any other mod decision... because your mod is phenomenal! never seen lighting done this well in a large home (and i've used them all). it rarely flickers even using a torch. the auto disrobe, re-dress from followers at the bath works smoother than any i've seen. and u have actually period appropriate toilets! no goofy magical "dwemer" toilets here. i'm an old hillbilly, and actually had to use potty chairs, chamber pots, ect growing up, and these are similar. and to my biggest pet peeve...!!...forges and smelters in basements with wood floors/ ceilings 2 feet over them!! kills me. the wood houses would catch fire in no time, and the 2 ton smelters would crash thru floors ect. your mod does it RIGHT!! venting pipes over the smelters! thank you!!. every lil detail of this place is fantastic!

i actually thought i'd be able to use the 2 mods together for a bit. removed a ton of trees, rocks ect, using console disable, Jaxon's Positioner, tesedit, and CK. and i thought i had a working viable solution. but nah, the main conflict is the landscape edits. the Witchy cabin, cultist cave, haunted graveyard w/ skeletons, are below the ground meshes, if Dragonia is lower in the load. opposite, if above.

sooo, if you ever get the urge, i'd be very appreciative if you could make a patch or something to get them working together. i'll help if i can. be HAPPY to donate also (u should put up the donate button up top).
the 2 mods actually go VERY well together other than the conflicts. having a creepy gnarled forest out back of the castle looks incredible. it also gave some thrills. the ghosts, skeletons and cultists were just far enough away that they didn't trigger often but occasionally one would creep up. i'm gonna add some pics in images section i think.
welp thanks you, and sorry for the long read. please consider a patch if you'd be so kind!

stoaty666, thank you for the kind comments. Not sure why the showers aren't working for you. The shower does only work for the NPCs who stand in front of them. They are not player showers. Are they not working for NPCs? You can test that by instructing a follower to go stand under one of the showers. There are actually 4 rooms for followers in the quarters area. If you play the non-adoption version, then you get two more rooms for followers that are located in the main house.

I'm working on SSE Dragonia now; just finishing up the adoption version and will begin on the other version this weekend. There will be a few more features in SSE. Also working on another big player home, but that one has a way to go before release.
