If you want a quick means of taking a glance at your character you can hold R3 (click the right stick) and also move it around with the left thumbstick. (the same as how you can move the camera back and forward.)
If you want your character to be able to move around in 360 degree movement, separate from the camera and not have the camera locked behind you, you will want a mod called True Directional Movement, but I don't know if there's a version available for LE.
I'm not sure if my problem came from this mod but, I recently just downloaded this mod and did what the instructions told me to do in the Skyrim.ini and it worked! my camera was in the center. But this is where I had a problem. When I went into first person and looked down I could see my entire body like one of those immersive first person mods. I didn't have any first person mod installed. It seemed to have started after I changed the Skyrim.ini. If anybody knows the fix to this, please tell me.
Could someone post the original values? My game (Skyrim Special Edition) started with the camera in the middle, I have no idea how that happened (!) , and I'd like to get the original position back.

Answer is YES
Just dwl manually the file, "read" and follow the instructions.
Done.
Tested and it 100% works.
