TAARIE – UPDATED - FUN VOICED MARRIAGE DIALOGUE

OVERVIEW

This mod adds around 150 new lines of voiced marriage dialogue for Taarie to provide a more engaging and reciprocal relationship between the Dragonborn and the fiestiest tailor in Tamriel. It also adds a unique (and possibly lengthy) fetch quest with a substantial reward and the option to bring her a meal once a day.  Since the update, Taarie has become responsive to major questline outcomes, learned a few new greetings and farewells, learned to write notes and keep a journal, and has developed a heart-wrenching backstory.  A helpful hint: if you want her to really open up to you, do a few things for her, first!

*** Please note that, in order for the quests to work as they should, Taarie must be in possession of her Bond of Matrimony at all times. If you take it from her, the quest dialogue will not initiate. Giving her your own ring and asking for it is OK. ***

BACKGROUND

So I decided to marry Taarie this time around, as she seemed to have a bit more character and spirit than most of the other female marriage options. It was disheartening, then, only to be able to ask her to cook for me and give me money. I felt I should be able to do something for her, and also to make casual comments, compliment her, romance her, tease her, etc. These options make it feel more like an in-game relationship, as opposed to just some walking furniture that gives you gold and food.

(On a personal note, I think marriage to Taarie is most immersive and engaging if she is left to live in Radiant Raiment, even if you only go there to visit her occassionally. Between her interactions with her sister, her AI package which allows her to leave the house and explore Solitude, and her dialogue with the Radiant Raiment customers, it seems a shame to pluck her out of her natural environment and take her to a new house where she will stand in the corner and stare at the wall for days and days on end. I tried to boost her AI for life in other towns, but unfortunately failed!)

INSTALLATION

Install with the Nexus Mods Manager and activate. Alternatively, download manually and drop the files into their respective directories within your skyrim/data folder.

UNINSTALLATION

Deactivate with the Nexus Mods Manager and delete. (There may still be some loose scripts in your skyrim/data/scripts folder, which you can delete manually if you desire, but these will no longer have any effect on your game.) If you downloaded manually, just reverse the installation process by deleting the mod files from their respective directories within the skyrim/data folder.
