Both the original and the Reborn version are working great for me. Love the Wait timer for configuring my MSM options (looking at you Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade w/no save settings option).
I see the source psc scripts are included in the BSA. Anyone have any pointers on how to add starting kits to the mod? I like the idea of someone from earth getting summoned into Tamriel and ending up running about in combat boots and jeans and such.
Yeah, I'd have loved to have had a wait timer for it when I was playing, it used to take me 12 minutes to get them all done then I'd look around the cave/ruin and go "nah, I try the next one" You see I'd start 'naked and alone' (no kit) then sneak and run around until I'd finished the dungeon... finding weapons/armour/tools/potions/food where I could, it would be an interesting 30 minutes-5/6 levels, only then would I go out into the world and sell what bootie I'd managed to carry.
I have a bug that is just making my game crash on startup & I don't know how to fix it I previously used Alternative start live another life but now I wanted to Try this one but It crashes my game on start up
This is my primary way of starting new games in Skyrim/Requiem, with no issues for the reasonably extensive number of mods I use. Have you tried loading Random Alternate Start Reborn with no other mods present? If that works, and I'd be surprised if it didn't, then it's a matter of testing which of your mods has a conflict
Hey I have a weird bug. I am also running Character Creation Overhaul. When I start a new Character it asks if I want to choose my Class and Birthsign when Racemenu opens. And then after I finish with Racemenu and the CCO menus, the choose your Kit menu shows up twice and the set timer menu shows up twice.
When I was running the old RAS with CCO, CCO never started till after I was done in Race Menu. And I had no issues with double screens. Any help would be appreciated. I obviously want to use this newer version, but so far it seems buggier than the old version.
I'm having exactly the same problem as you, bro. Hope someone can shed some light on this situation. Can't seem to figure out why it's happening. And if it's the "double menu bug" that was mentioned, then I don't know which mod could alter my timescale in the game.
OK, found a solution. Don't use this mod. The original Random Alternate Start works just fine and without any issues. As soon as I use this REBORN version, CCO initializes it's menu before Racemenu, and afterwards I get the double-menu bug and it's just not worth it.
The double menu bug is a known issue even from the previous iterations of RAS when mods change the world timescale - look in the "known issues" section of this mod's description. Disable any timescale changing mods before starting up RAS, then you can re-enable those mods after your character has randomly spawned into the game world (although I haven't had any issues with Requiem).
Unfortunately, I ran this in a set up that doesn't have mods that disable timescales and I still got the bug until I DL'd the original version like Excaliborg said. Otherwise it's an endless loop especially if you use the Andromeda patch. I think the only way to fix is for the mod author or someone to make a separate patch
There is a little problem with Ulfric. If I use this mod he has the rag around his mouth as at the beginning of the game. Can you resolve this problem?
played thru the end of Civil War, nope, not at all. You have to do: -move plugin to end of load order -delete, do not use riverwood chargen (the second file) The only thing is that during first time character creation you create your character in void black rather than in riverwood, but the lighting is more than enough to see your character.
I didn't test this extensively yet but three tries, it's both simple and amazing! While "Live Another Life" is increasingly buggy and conflicting, this makes stuff simpler.
EDIT: 53 hours of gameplay + 200 other plugins virtually no real problems. I put in the last of load order, and did not use Riverwood Chargen (which make you create your character in black void rather than Riverwood)
I get MASS of double/triple/qudara screens on beginning (chooose class choose class choose class wait time choose class wait time...), i use loot and wrye bash, any idea?
This is addressed in the "Known Issues" section of the mod description: Mods that alter the game's time scale may cause the "double menu bug". To prevent this, disable any time scale mods when starting a new game then re-enable them after your character has spawned into the world.

Thanks!
You see I'd start 'naked and alone' (no kit) then sneak and run around until I'd finished the dungeon... finding weapons/armour/tools/potions/food where I could, it would be an interesting 30 minutes-5/6 levels, only then would I go out into the world and sell what bootie I'd managed to carry.
Yeah, this wait timer would have been wonderful.

PLEASE HELP ME

Thanks for this mod, I'm enjoying it.
