EMPTY AREA OVERHAUL

NEXT UPDATE WILL BE ADDED TO A NEW ACCOUNT I WILL MAKE IN THE FUTURE DUE TO BEING UNABLE TO ACCESS MY ACCOUNT ON MY PC. A LINK WILL BE POSTED HERE WHEN THAT HAPPENS.

ABOUT

A long time ago, I spent thousands of hours overhauling over 130 undercluttered locations across Skyrim, adding clutter, decorations, interactables and loot. Sadly, the whole thing suddenly deleted itself from my computer; Skyrim, my mods, and my work on this mod. This mod is a recreation of my previous work from scratch. I will upload a new version as I add each location to the mod, so be sure to track this mod to get all the updates because there will be a lot. I will cover all the Jarls' homes, and most if not all taverns and shops, redesigning and redecorating in a properly navmeshed, realistic and lore friendly way.

LOCATIONS CHANGED

Dragonsreach
Temple of Kynareth in Whiterun (nearly done)
Falkreath Jarl's Longhouse (early stages)

PLEASE NOTE
The mod file is called 'RCs Dragonsreach' because I had planned on uploading it using my old account, Rolling Cabbage, which I no longer use. While this mod will cover a vast number of areas, I will keep the name the same so as to avoid potential issues with saving / loading. Some images may also be outdated at progression continues.

INSTALLATION
Ensure you are not in a location affected by this mod. The readme contains a list. Extract the contents of the the RCs Dragonsreach folder to your Skyrim/Data directory and ensure that 'RCs Dragonsreach' is ticked in the Skyrim Launcher Data Files. Use LOOT or other programs to sort the load order, then play. This mod is safe to add / remove at any time. For installation of updates, simply do the same and overwrite, re-sort the load order, continue play.

UNINSTALLATION
Remove the files you added in the installation process while NOT in any of the locations this mod affects.

COMPATIBILITY
This will obviously not work with anything that edits the same locations, nor will this mod work if you attempt to plug your computer into a frozen watermelon (fresh melons seem OK, go figure). Check the readme file included in each version to see what areas it overhauls. I understand that there are a lot of mods that overhaul a large number of locations, but in time, mine will easily surpass their content. I had completed 130 locations in only 3 months by myself, and I hope to re-achieve the same level of completion with this mod. Please be patient with future version releases, as I have to keep up with my job, and with the publication of teen fiction novels. Skyrim modding is only a hobby.

FAQ
Q: Can you overhaul X area?
A: Send me a message and I may add your request to the above list.

Q: What mods do you also use?
A: See the recommended mods section below.

Q: Avocado?
A: Shut up!

Q: Help! It's not working!
A: This is not a question but OK. If you have followed the steps outlined in the installation section and it still doesn't work, then I suggest you buy a legal copy of Skyrim, you criminal scum!

Q: Performance?
A: This mod adds a large number of objects to the affected locations, so it may be a hit on your FPS if you have a low end system. If it doesn't run well, don't use it. But please let me know how the performance is for you on various setups.

Q: Requirements?
A: Skyrim, its latest update, and a fresh vegetable from your local supermarket, preferably a potato or beetroot.

Q: I don't like this mod, can you change it?
A: I don't like your face, can you change that? But seriously, if you have suggestions that I like, I'm willing to try it out and see how it goes. No promises. If this mod is not to your liking, nobody is forcing you to download it.

Q: What can I expect in terms of future updates?
A: I will be recreating my initial mod that was unexpectedly deleted, and that covered over 100 locations. My reason for uploading one area at a time is so I always have a backup version online. There are certain areas I WON'T cover, such as the guild locations and player houses. This is because certain player actions can cause changes in these locations, and I am unfamiliar with the effects my mod might have if I remodel them. I will likely not cover locations that are edited by popular mods, such as Falkreath's tavern for Moonpath to Elsweyr, but I may include this in a separate optional file later on.

Q: Why do you like potatoes so much?
A: I actually don't. I think they are horrible.

PERMISSIONS
This mod is free for all to use. I have free access to more than 45 thousand Skyrim mods on the Nexus, so charging or asking for donations for my work would make me an asshole. I WILL however accept donations in the form of potatoes. If you see my mod somewhere else, for sale or not, this is theft and I will not tolerate it. Please let me know immediately. You may not use my mod in your own publications. As for the use of resources within my mod, I am not one to give out such permission, as they do not belong to me. See the list of modder's resources below to find out where they came from.
