For now some typo errors have been fixed and Militia faction and outfits have been enhanced for better immersion. 1oo% compatible with most of your mods (USKP and USLEEP both). Moreover, It's fully compatible with Skyrim Legendary Edition.
Fort Amol: 13 fire mages/pyromancers 11 ice mages/cryomancers 9 shockmages/elctromancers + a few warlocks (fire, ice and shock) (why don't add some conjurer?)
I took 5 in-game days to kill everyone, 211 iron arrow, 27 lingering poison (because some of them are immune to sneak attacks)
After the battle I have: 4 supreme soulgems 17 adept/expert spell tomes 21 adept/expert staves 6 surpassing health potions (I am on Requiem, the best mod ever)
This guys ca easily conquer all Skyrim lands, kill Morokei, Alduin, Paathurnax, the greybeards with ease.
This is the second worst mod I ever seen. The first? Populated Caverns/Dungeons (around 40 falmer in a little cavern like Shimmermist Cave). Wha I will find, for example, in Torvald Cave o Sighless Pit? I don't know, but I don't care... simply unistall the two mods, and the modder will be banned from here to eternity.
This mod, and the other one I mentioned, are only capable to teach all other modders how don't make a mod.
Coming back to this mod, I remember what fun could be had throwing Frenzy spells into skeleton armies at Fort Kastav. However, I see there seem to be two different mods, a ~ Legendary Edition (Nexus 73146) and this one here, ~ Reborn, but both say they are based on the same original work by Erkeil. Can someone tell me what the difference is between these two mods ? (and probably a good idea to post that on Nx73146 too). Cheers !
This mod and tony'cubed2's LE mod version are modified/updated versions of the original Population Skyrim series mod by Erkeil RS/Relliosavini Team. This original mod author (and apparently all their sock puppets) were banned and so no longer active on Nexus:
However, they gave the community permission to use their mod assets as people see fit.
Either use tony'cubed2's version, or this Reborn version of the original Erekil RS Team mod (based on whatever changes these new mod authors/mod author teams have made to the original).
That being said, a word of caution: it seems the SoT/tonycubed2 mod versions are poorly supported by the SoT team. If you visit the SoT page for this module of the original Erkeil RS Team mod, you'll see the posting section (like this one) is spammed to death with the latest SoT team dev projects. It's so bad on that mod page, that the posting section for each of the SoT projects (i.e. Populated Skyrim Forts, Lands/Roads, Civil War, Cities, Dungeons etc). module versions only average some 2-3 pages. It basically seems tons of more people have downloaded the Reborn version -by as much as a factor of 5X for certain modules- in terms of downloads.
I also noticed from the posted comments, that the mod uploader (tony) does very little to update the existing Population Skyrim suite. This mod uploader wouldn't even do the simple task of fixing the broken archived file structure they uploaded to the Nexus for the Merged version of the LE Hell series. The file was literally zipped, then re-zipped inside another zip archive prior to being uploaded. When a user reported the wrong file structure had broken the installation process, tonycubed2 suggested they were too busy working on other mod projects. And that this poster should fix it themselves.
So...despite all the feedback and bug reports received from players posting there, it seems not much has been done to address or improve the existing mods uploaded by SoT team. But whatever you do, DO NOT DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL Population Skyrim Hell Edition (this is the merged mod which merges ALL of the Population Skyrim Erkeil RS suite mods into a single esp). This merged file has been known to BLOAT the hell out of your save games. One person even reported a save game jumping from 11MB to 60MB lol :DAnd so it's doubtful if using memory utilities like CrashFixes etc would ever address scripts that bloat the game to that ridiculous size.
Also in many cases, the SoT mod uploader has suggested the USERS need to correct the technical issues. The comment posting section is also outdated for most of the SOT mod versions (like last comments made back in 2016-2017 time frame). So.....unless you're proficient using, and/or don't mind becoming a professional modder using TES5Edit, MO, Wrye and/or CK other utilities etc etc. then it's probably better you use this version of the Population Skyrim mod suite. Just be sure to back up your save games before installing any of the esps.
The Reborn series are updated versions of Erkeil and Relliosavini original mods. All Populated Reborns mods are safe to install/uninstall and don't use scripts. All Reborn mods are at their "final" editions.
I have to thank you to. I came here with the same question. I really appreciate the answer. Definitely sticking with the Reborn edition as I have for the last 3 years.
FYI, most of the facetint FaceGenData textures in this mod have the "dark forehead" bug. You can look at the dds files in the facetint folder for this mod and see that at least half of them are bad. I recommend not downloading this mod unless you plan on opening CK and re-exporting all the FaceGenData for all the NPCs yourself (think can take hours).
Thank you for the warning. I'm now definitely staying away from all the population mods because they all seem broken in one way or another. It's really too bad. Skyrim needs these mods.
When I'm being attacked by the bandit patrols, none of the npcs like guards or the companions near the giant help me fight them off. Took a look in tes5edit in the factions setting and the Factions only reconize the player as an enemy and no one else like regular citizens so they will ignore the guards and random npcs straight for me.
EDIT: added the line IsGuardFaction "GuardFaction (makes an actor a guard)" [FACT:00086EEE] via tes5edit to one of the factions and it seems to work and watched them go straight to the companions as I made my way silently to whiterun, watching from the distance
Both ERKEIL and RS (relliosavini) left/were banned from the Nexus at one point in the past.
Since then, they have both stopped building mods for Skyrim, and have posted on their web site that they are no longer modding, and are giving blanket permission to mod their stuff into your own work, if desired.

(ONLY) If you have trouble to install the mod try these steps:
In MO/settings/plugins/fomod, set prefer to ‘false’ instead of true.
It will run the external installer and so It should works.
