This video showcases the dynamics of using the populated series, specially at the Valtheim Towers location. Its a better game, where other npcs can and do take action. Weekly videos will be posted.
does this rotate the prisoners and switch them out from time to time, so it looks like prisoners are coming and going?
and do any of them NOT respawn? i wanna use that face transfer mod to put a pretty follower face on an npc, and one in prison would be kinda neat, but not if it respawned
fine, i'll look meself *shakes fist* looks like about 95% of npcs are listed as respawn. all but like 5 or so
and there's some element i'm not familiar with. something listed as "random" in the npc section. there's also a TON more npcs in the mod than there are prison cells in the game, so with that and the "random" setting, i'm guessing that npcs do in fact get changed out after awhile.
Avoid the "Populated" series of mods. They are VERY HEAVY on resources for your PC, and provide very little actual meaningful impact on your game. Get "Interesting NPC's" instead and ditch all of these massive and useless memory hog mods.
They're really not that bad. My rig is not strong by any means but handles them fine. Use this mod with Sounds of Skyrim installed walk around Solitude and it feels like a true city
This mod is essentially the opposite of Interesting NPCs. Interesting NPCs over-compensates the game's lack of unique individuals, this over-compensates the lack of generic individuals.
I'd recommend using both. Something like extra prisoner NPCs is absolutely not "massive" and "memory hog." It is a single ESP for a cell you visit like 1 time every 10 hours of play
